UTMB Spring/Summer 2019

Hi I know it's a few months early, but have anyone started getting their application/essay ready to apply to UTMB for 2019? Lol I'm nervous looking at blogs from previous years. I'm also scared to take the TEAS. I plan on applying for Summer 2019.

You got the Texas Board of Nursing email for a fingerprint??? It is probably UTMB then

Hi nkharr1. I'm new on here. I have been reading but not participating. I interviewed on Oct. 22 and also got the same email today. I set up the appointment for fingerprinting for Wed. This should be good news. Good Luck!!! I can't imagine they would send us to fingerprint and then deny us.

Anyone know if it's okay that my speech class would be acceptable for the elective course?

As long as it is college level it should be counted.

I hate to burst anyone's bubble not saying that you all aren't accepted but I had my fingerprint done when I applied last summer and got it done even though I was on the waitlist and still got denied acceptance. It's mostly done in cases of waitlist to be sure if someone decides not to go the next person on the waitlist will be ready to go and not have to frantically do it as it takes weeks to get the background check info back.

Wouldn't we be told we were interviewing for the waitlist position instead? It seems to be cutting it close to make us wait until possibly January to hear back when school starts in early May.

I'm not sure I'm just trying to let you all know what happened in my case. I didn't get told I was getting waitlisted till January and I had interviewed in November for summer 2018. And I got denied completely in may of 2018. The delay although might have been due to Harvey. Sorry if this is giving anyone doubts just though I'd share.

I also was not interviewed for waitlist and the lady I interviewed with said she can't wait to see me in her class second semester. I agree if we were interviewed for the waitlist specifically but that was not the case. Even though I will not hold my breath because this process is difficult and you never know.

So just curious... when they sent you for fingerprinting did you know at that point you were on the waitlist?
