UTMB Spring/Summer 2019

Hi I know it's a few months early, but have anyone started getting their application/essay ready to apply to UTMB for 2019? Lol I'm nervous looking at blogs from previous years. I'm also scared to take the TEAS. I plan on applying for Summer 2019.

Hello Jdaza97-

I had the same question and called Enrollment Services. You're good. They state that the emails are numbered for *ALL* of the incoming UTMB students, including SOM- not just SON. So, Application #4 email doesn't apply to SON students, is what I was told.

You should be good if you've gotten email #5.

Hello everyone! I just joined and am applying for Summer 2019. I am very last minute as I decided to change programs from ADN to BSN. I take my Teas on Tuesday. I've looked on the site and tried to figure out if I have time to get everything done by the 15th. I currently have a 4.0 in Science and 3.2 overall due to some C's 20's years ago. I am retaking those this semester for A's to bump my overall up. That would get me to 3.6 overall. I am trying to decide if I just apply with what I have and take a shot, or if I wait and apply for Fall? I have a very strong community service and professional work experience. I have a great letter of recommendation, although I don't know if that will help. I would really like to start asap, but I want to make sure that if I do, and don't get in, that I can apply again for Fall. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hello there! May I ask if you've heard anything back yet? Is the overall GPA is calculated on ALL coursework, even if it doesn't apply to the pre-req's? I took some of these calles 20 years ago and most don't apply. Do you know if the elective and nutrition classes are included in the science GPA? You seem very competitive. I was thinking about retaking some C's I got 20yrs ago to boost my GPA, but I guess they don't take the highest score? There is so much to consider. Thanks in advance.

Hi, if possible you should re-take those classes you had a C on because they consider your over all gpa and also your personal statement. Your teas score, not so much as far as your score is above 60%. If the C was just in one class, then you should not bother about re-taking is. Good luck with your teas exam. Also I think you should apply for the summer semester since you already have all your prereqs.

Nursing CAS. If you go to the part where it gives you the details of what to submit, it should give you all the instructions. Good luck!
