Hey Y'all,
I read through the whole UTMB Fall 2014 thread and thought I'd start the next semesters thread (because I couldn't find one). I know the application doesn't close until May 31st, but thought it would be helpful to start this now.
I got an email for an interview... again. I called to ask if this was an error as I already had an interview on July 1st. The lady I spoke to said she would get back with me and when she did, she said the email had been sent in error, as they had everything they needed for me.NOW I'm wondering if I should have just taken the opportunity for a second interview, as I have not heard anything back from the school.
Has anyone else received a second interview email or heard of this happening before?
Zurie,
You and I are having similar experiences with this whole application process. We both applied and got rejected for the Fall and then had interviews on the first week for the Spring application period. I have not heard back from my interview as well (and I didn't get an additional invite like you did...so weird haha). I did want to recommend you get in contact with the lady who signed off on your rejection letter last application period. I don't want to say her name, but I emailed her on Tuesday and she ended up asking me for some scores that weren't reported on my application (because I wasn't done with the classes when I reapplied). So hopefully that will push my application through. Try it and see what she says!
Hi guys, I am new to the thread and just read everyone's comments! Congratulations to those of you already accepted! I am sure you are relieved and obviously super excited. I have my interview on Monday afternoon and was extremely nervous before reading everyone's posts about y'alls experience, but am somewhat relieved now. Does anyone have any additional tips for preparing for the interview questions? And did everyone have any problems parking and finding interview location? Although there were instructions regarding parking and location I'm worried that I'm going to be so nervous I'm going to get lost. Only went there once for open house so I'm not super familiar with the campus or Galveston. Thanks for all of the help and good luck to those of you with upcoming interviews, you will do great!
It's really easy to find. It's almost directly across from parking garage four past the construction. Galveston is pretty easy to navigate, so you should be okay. Every street running parallel to the seawall will run into Broadway or 61st and both of those streets have navigation signs to UTMB. Anything that doesn't run parallel to the seawall will either run into the seawall or lead you to something that will take you to broadway and 45. If you're accepted, you'll learn the island soon enough. As far as the interview goes, just have a plan of attack on how you're going to handle nursing school, and you shouldn't have any trouble answering questions.
Congratulations on the interview and hope to meet you this Spring!

Actually I think there was someone for the fall 2014 class that ended up having a 2nd interview!

Just like Jbrown said, prepare on how you going handle the demanding coursework and also be prepare to talk what was important in your personal statement. As for as parking, just park in Garage 4 like the email indicated. Also you need to press code to enter the gated garage. Congratulation on you interview! Hope to see you in Spring!
