UTMB Spring 2015 Applicants

Hey Y'all,

I read through the whole UTMB Fall 2014 thread and thought I'd start the next semesters thread (because I couldn't find one). I know the application doesn't close until May 31st, but thought it would be helpful to start this now.

Will you all be commuting or living on the island?

Retook the Teas. Went from a 70 to a 78.7

Not what I wanted at ALL

I gained 10 pounds since May. Has anyone gained weight? I'll keep everyone updated but I'm done lurking.

That is a huge improvement on your TEAS. I would not sweat about it. My TEAS was 78.4 and I took it twice.

Right now I am deciding to commute from Houston to Galveston everyday.

Congrats to all of yall who have been accepted!! I had my interview last Tuesday and still haven't heard anything and it's killing me!!

For all those who have been accepted, was there any part of the interview that threw you for a loop?

Nothing really threw me for a loop (I'm pretty good at thinking on my feet), but there were some questions I didn't expect to be asked because I thought they were pretty obvious, like what would you do if you started getting behind type questions.

I'll be living on the island. I'm actually moving there in the next 2 weeks so I can finish up a pre-req at GCC and get situated.

Honestly, I bugged the crap out of them. If it's driving you crazy, call (personally, I emailed). I don't think it will hurt if you call once or twice, just don't overdo it.
