UTMB Spring 2014 Applicants

The application process has just gotten under way for UTMB spring admission. Has anyone taken the TEAS tests? Any helpful hints on getting a high score?

Thank you! I am hoping some spots will open up for us and we can! I wonder how many are on the waitlist and where we are at on the list.

I know for sure from last time they wont tell you what spot your at. But they should tell you how many they put on it if you ask or if they even know. Last time I got a wait list email then a few weeks later got a denial.

I just got my wait listed email. To tell you the truth, I am pretty shocked and a little annoyed that I am on the wait list, especially after being told that I was a "shoe in" for the program. Were any of you given a confidence boost such as that? I have heard from others that the were told something of the sorts too and then weren't admitted or were wait listed. I am not a fan of false hope. I guess all I can do is wait. This is it for me, so I really do hope and pray that I get into the fall class. Do you think they would be able to push an application to the summer semester, even if that process is already closed?

I got taken off the wait list for UTHSC and it am un enrolling from UTMB so there will be an open spot!

Congrats llucas.

Anyone else really curious as to if we are waiting for people to drop out/ not show up in Jan, Or if we are waiting for them to figure out how many of the acceptances denied?

I was also put on the wait-list 2days ago. I only just digested the information but have decided to stay optimistic. Afterall, life goes on. It is always better to be prepared than to be sorry. That is what I intend to do. While hoping that I get taken off wait-list, I will start putting together resources for for fall 2014. I certainly don't want to have just UTMB to wait on. I need to apply into as many schools as possible, maybe 5. No mistakes this time. Bottom line, I still hope UTMB will take me but I will not let myself miss application deadlines for most schools simply because I am waiting or disappointed. Our dreams will be realized, one way or another.

I contacted utmb and ask them where I stand on the waitlist. The didn't say exactly what number but they told me if I had a chance or not and what I needed to do to improve my chances for fall. My teas score is what hurt my chances. Oh well. I am moving on. So call them and ask. They were helpful.

They told me that I did not pace high on the list and then gave me some advice for the next application.

Hi everyone,

I am applying for Fall 2014 UTMB Traditional BSN program. I have not seen a thread for that. And I'm not sure how to make one either. It's all so nerve racking!
