UTMB Spring 2014 Applicants

The application process has just gotten under way for UTMB spring admission. Has anyone taken the TEAS tests? Any helpful hints on getting a high score?

Honestly at this point, I'm just going to tell you guys to not get too excited. I'm sorry, I know that's harsh and I know it sucks but I was in the same position last semester. I mean there's always hope because people do lose their positions last minute and people decide not to go, things happen, so definitely don't lose hope. But at the same time, prepare yourself to be disappointed and start thinking of what you guys wanna do next instead of wasting time waiting. It really sucks to just have wasted all this time, and in the end you realize you didn't get in and it's too late to do anything else. Start thinking of retaking classes to raise your GPAs, or start studying for the TEAS to retake it. I found out that I was on the wait-list for the fall semester 2 weeks before the spring application deadline. So if I wanted to take the TEAS again, I only had that much time to study and get it done. You guys have a month until the application deadline for next fall, so start working on whatever you need to do! Don't give up though!!! You really just have to keep trying.

I partially agree with you as I was in the same situation last semester. Although the circumstances are different this time in more ways then one. So yes I'm completely prepared for disappointment and having to move on to my plan B but there is still a decent amount of hope that it wont come to that.

Yeah there's definitely a lot more hope this semester than there was last time, but still, just start planning for the next application so you're not in a hurry to get it done last minute.

I probably won't. I put out some e-mails to the people my boss and co-workers told me to e-mail and depending on what they say will depend on that. More than likely I'm just going to move on though.
