UTMB Spring 2014 Applicants

The application process has just gotten under way for UTMB spring admission. Has anyone taken the TEAS tests? Any helpful hints on getting a high score?

My interview was on October 30th. I haven't received an acceptance yet. But I did get a call from the nursing school yesterday (which showed up as a blocked number, I thought that was odd). She was wanting to verify my outstanding prerequisites. So she went down the lists of all of the Sciences. I told her I took A&P I in the summer and are taking Micro, Chem, A&P II and Statistics right now. And then she said she was surprised they even considered me since I still had all of those sciences left to complete. So then I explained to her that I had already taken Micro, Chem, and A&P I when I applied but I took them at LSU and OLOL and labs are not required for their nursing schools. So I am had to take all of those courses over just for the lab credit. ( in Louisiana labs are separate from lecture) But having taken them I had enough prerequisite hours to apply. So then she finally understood and then asked me my grades for my A&P I in the summer, Texas Government and what I made in Chem and micro when I took them at LSU and OLOL. And then she said OK that was all I needed, have a great day. So I am totally confused. I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing... Maybe she's verifying my file to get ready for when they meet to decide who they are accepting? Just thought I'd throw that out there. Hopefully we will all know soon.

I had my interview yesterday also. I hope to know soon either way and not have to wait two weeks for an answer. Good luck to the remaining interviewees

Has anyone else's statuses changed to Incomplete? It is asking me to send in my transcripts from previous schools by December 1st. Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks!

Mine is not marked incomplete. But I just checked my MyStar and I have a check!!!!! I think after you accept the check it turns to incomplete from what I've read on previous posts. Did you get admitted thru MyStar and accepted and then it went to incomplete?

I'm so relieved!!!!!
