UTMB FALL 2019

Published

The UTMB Fall 2019 application opens soon on November 15! Have you started on your essay or the TEAS preparation yet? I am so excited and nervous at the same time and have been stalking past threads on AllNurses.

Currently taking AP I and Microbiology and will be taking AP II in the Spring. I hope to take the TEAS by the end of December.

Please feel free to discuss your experience, stats, comments, etc.

Good luck to all of us! :)

Hello, I am a 4th semester student at UTMB SON! I know it is early for y'all to think about housing, but wanted to post here so y'all have some options. I live right near campus on market and 17th street in a historic home. I'm looking for a girl to take over my lease because I graduate in April 2019. Rent is very afforable compared to places around galveston. I have a bathroom connected to my room which is used by two other roommates to shower. I really have loved living close to campus and wouldn't have wanted it any other way. I ride my bike to school everyday, I also have a night pass parking which opens after 4 pm and is 10$ per month. Please let me know if you have any questions. Application process is daunting but you will get it done, and I hope the best for you all. Email me if you have questions: [email protected].

Took my TEAS exam last week and I'm satisfied with my result!

Overall: 96%

Reading 93.6%

Math: 100%

Science: 93.6%

English 95.8%

The materials I used are the ATI TEAS Manual and my A&P textbook. I felt like the reading was harder on the actual test compared to the practice questions in the manual, so I was surprised by my score!

Last night I sent in my application. Fingers crossed! I'm applying only to UTMB so I really hope I get in.

Submitted my application yesterday! This will be my 4th time applying to UTMB and still on the waitlist for summer 2019! Hoping things go well for all of us!!

Hello, I recently sent my application but I was wondering if someone could tell me how much of a chance I have in getting in.... or if I should start studying again and apply for spring 2020

Teas: 82.0%

Math: 96.9

Science: 78.7

Hello, so do you just create a MYSTAR Log In or they have to give you log in

I just submitted my application to Nursing CAS and just did my supplemental application as well, I'm praying we all get in to UTMB for Fall 2019 or another nursing school of our choice. ?

They will send you 3 emails after you submit the supplemental app telling you how to set up your mystar. They give you the username and password.

Good luck!

Hey y'all! I just finished my TEAs an hour ago lol so I have finally submitted my app! However, I did not do as well as I would have liked on the TEAs :( I just decided to apply to UTMB about 2 weeks ago, so I didn't have a lot of time to prepare for the exam since I was taking two minimester courses that ended last week. But, I applied anyways. There's not a lot going on in this thread.. Does UTMB typically have a lot of applicants?

My TEAs scores:

Math: 85

Reading: 83

Science: 68

English: 79

I haven't taken a bio class in almost 7 years and have not taken AP II yet, so my science grade is not the best. I did see on UTMB's site that you have to have a score of 60 in each to be considered and that a 70 is competitive. So we shall see! I live in Houston, so if I get in, I would LOVE to form a carpool group! Best of luck to everyone!!

Good luck! UTMB usually have many applicants. Past UTMB threads have tons of posts but this one seems dead. Lol. Doesn't help that the forum was down for weeks.

That could be it, I was lost without this site! What did y'all take to fulfill the science elective? Again I applied pretty late so the only course I had that could fit is a Bio class I took a looong time ago, but I had a C in that course :(
