Hey! I wanted to make this post because I didn't see a thread for those who are applying to UTMB Galveston Fall 2018. I know application hasn't open yet, but I just took my teas score. I have no idea if it is good enough for UTMB standards. I currently have 40 hours, but by the end of this semester I will have around 53 credit hours. I have no idea how I should even start my personal statement. Would you guys be willing to share your stats? Any questions or comments please feel free to post! :)
How were your stats applying to UTMB as well as others when you applied if you don't mind me asking. Also is it true that some people won't find out til August?
They were "okay" but I have a medical background. My TEAS overall was 80, my GPA was 3.94. I was originally planning on applying to UTHSCH and TWU as well, but when I had my interview at UTMB I literally fell in love with the school. I knew I didn't wanna be anywhere else and I still feel this way. The fall is by far the most competitive class to get accepted into, but hey, I got accepted into the fall class with them. I have military experience, EMT experience, etc. which I know helped my case. And no, That's crazy. You start class in Aug. June/July would be the ABSOLUTE latest and that's if you had been placed on a waiting list (which they would email you and tell you about) and then someone enrolled dropped out before the start of the program. You'll have welcome weekend and destination Galveston to attend during the late summer months close to the start of the program.
