UTMB Fall 2017

Hi everyone!

I cannot believe it's actually time for me to apply to nursing school. It seems like I've been working on my pre-reqs forever now and it's finally here. I didn't see any utmb 2017 fall hopefuls yet so I thought I'd create a thread. I'm having one heck of a time with the application process. I'm taking my teas next Wednesday and submitting my application after that. Has anyone sent in their transcripts through nursingCAS yet? Anyone have any pre-reqs they still need to complete? I have one last semester to finish. Good luck to everyone applying this semester!

I haven't either! I'm just hoping & praying that I'll get an invite to the next round of interviews.

Not at all, from what I've heard, there are as many as four rounds that go out. I think the 2nd round has just started.

Has anyone heard of someone getting denied acceptance after an interview? My friends that are attending or did attend UTMB have said they haven't. Just curious... lol

Also, does anyone know how many people they are expecting to take in for the nursing program for fall 2017?

I've been lurking in the fall threads from previous years. Seems like some people got wait listed after being interviewed.

They take around 132 people for fall

I have heard people get denial letters without even receiving an interview..but I haven't heard of denials letters afterwards. I would hope they would still send you something letting you know you weren't accepted, so we wouldn't continue to wait without knowing anything! That's torture lol

The fact that they are taking forever is torture. They've had my application before January 15th, and it's now the end of March. I've already heard back from 3 other Nursing schools, and 2 of them the deadline had been Feb. 1st! It's just ridiculous!
