UTMB Fall 2017

Hi everyone!

I cannot believe it's actually time for me to apply to nursing school. It seems like I've been working on my pre-reqs forever now and it's finally here. I didn't see any utmb 2017 fall hopefuls yet so I thought I'd create a thread. I'm having one heck of a time with the application process. I'm taking my teas next Wednesday and submitting my application after that. Has anyone sent in their transcripts through nursingCAS yet? Anyone have any pre-reqs they still need to complete? I have one last semester to finish. Good luck to everyone applying this semester!

Mine was the 13th as well! Mine told me 2-4 weeks. I'm very anxious. Before the interview one lady that spoke to me asked if I know where I am going to live already... My thoughts were "well... I would like to know I'm accepted first lol"

Yes! I'm hoping we hear soooooon. But yeah I think they prefer us to live there, than to commute

Hey guys! I just got an email about thirty minutes ago to schedule an interview, so I guess I'm part of the second wave! I have mine on Monday the 27th, and I'm super nervous! Good luck to everyone!

I had my interview today and it went extremely well. The lady didn't tell me a few weeks or anything until I hear something, but she did mention the next board meeting to discuss the interviewed applicants will be this Monday. She told me I had a great shot at the honors program (if I'm chosen for the program). She basically told me she would see me in class in so many words, at least that's how it sounded. I hope I don't end up disappointed. Lol and also, when they send out interview invites, they don't send them out in one day. It's a rolling admissions program (my interviewer's words). So I received my email on a Friday, and I had a 2 week window to schedule it. The beginning dates of this wave had already passed, so the earliest I could schedule was 2 weeks away. All the other slots had already been filled, so I'm positive they send out emails at different Times.

Hey! I had mine over spring break as well and my interviewer told me about six weeks (beginning of May) is when we would be hearing back but that's all I've heard from their side. :( I did go thru Fall 2016's feed and it appears they heard back after about 3 weeks from the time the first few people of the wave interviewed. I know it's different every year but I hope we hear back sooner than May! I have a spot at a different school but wanted to hold out as much as I could to hear back from UTMB ;)

If they're meeting on Monday, hopefully they decide on all those who interviewed the first two weeks!! Fingers crossed
