Hello everyone! I think it's finally time for someone to start a fall thread so here it goes. I am applying to UTHSC and UTMB for fall semester. I gave my teas test today and idk if that score is good enough or not. My GPA is 4.0 and teas individual score is 81. How did everyone else do in their test?
I emailed Elizabeth Botello to get clarification, those of us that we're waitlisted with conditional acceptance she said,"Yes, please go ahead and get the BON FastPass out of the way. Conditions for acceptance are any outstanding prerequisites must be completed, along with a satisfactory background check and drug screening." Hope that helps anyone who had questions!

The FastPass is the email we got about fingerprinting correct? Because I went ahead and did that on Tuesday!
@chec86 - I earned a BS and an MBA degree from another state but I was told that I had to take Texas government .... which of course - was not required in another state. I would suggest that you confirm that you have all of your prerequisites so that you don't have an unpleasant surprise in August. I'm finishing my last prerequisite now - US History part II. My college required 3 semesters of world history which were not accepted as a substitute. The good news is that these are not difficult classes. Just more time and money!
Good luck to all those waiting - I am hoping for you all to join us!
Did they tell you what you needed or did you call them? I asked during my interview but was told everything was good to go if I've gotten this far which I'm realizing might not have been the right answer. I appreciate you taking the time to write me back. I've left Elizabeth Botello a voice message to find out but haven't heard anything back I'll try emailing her.
Before I started on this journey - I took all of my transcripts and reviewed them with someone from SON to make sure that I knew exactly how my classes would transfer since the course names/numbers were different from Texas schools. I petitioned to get at least some history credit for my three semesters of World History - but no luck. Maybe you are OK since your transcripts should have been cleared and reviewed by Nursing CAS. I would still double check. Worst case - they tell you that you need Texas government and you take it this summer. This is better than finding out in August and then running risk of not getting into school. I personally think this isn't necessary - especially if you already have a degree - but they seem to be pretty serious about this "Texas Core" requirement. Good luck - I hope you don't have to take it.

Has anyone heard anything back about their prerequisites being approved or not? I applied as an out of state transfer and never took Texas Gov only U.S. Gov so I'm curious if that was accepted in place of that course or if I need to take it for the conditional acceptance.
