UTMB Fall 2012

HI! I am applying for the traditional BSN program at UTMB that starts Fall 2012. I am taking my TEAS this friday and I wanted to know if anyone else here is applying for the same semester. Hopefully there are others so I don't have to be nervous alone!! :D

Just got my acceptance letter this morning! See all of you guys in the fall!!! Congrats to everyone!!:yeah:

They do take San jac's Patho as the elective science. That was my elective science ;)

One last Question of the day. Do you know if UTMB takes San Jac's Pathophysiology to fill the science elective credit? I signed up to take it this Summer, but could switch it out if something else would be better. Thoughts?
Yes! And it will be very beneficial next fall, especially if you have it from the corn lady :)

I don't know a specific date, but it will likely be early next week. They are still receiving applications from Enrollment Services and interviews will continue for several more weeks - per the president of ES.

Does anyone know if the interview process is complete? I'm starting to wonder if I'll get an interview or not. I applied on time with a 3.9 GPA, 89 TEAS V, and I thought my personal statement was strong... I applied at UTHSC and TWU although UTMB was my first choice. really getting a little nervous and starting to wonder if i fell through a cyber crack while they were reviewing apps. I'll be rather devestated if i am denied without an interview! I've upped my running mileage quite a bit to help combat the stress, although i still can't stop checking my email! AND I run through the med center each day, so it doesnt really keep mind off all this waiting that well! Good luck to all that have completed the interview process!
I know it's hard to not stress, but really try not to! I spoke with the president of enrollment services this week helping out another student and he told me that all the applications have been put into the computer, but haven't all been sent to the SON yet. He also said that the school would be reviewing and interviewing for several more weeks still, well into April. Hang in there!!

They don't really have rounds, per say... they just throw crap in the air and randomly decided to send out emails here and there.Seriously, they have NO system. I don't understand why, it would drive me crazy. I would expect more interview invites to go out before the end of next week though (please don't shoot me if they don't, I'm just guessing!!)

I remember what it was like!! If worse comes to worse, and you don't get accepted, do not give up!! I haven't shared my story over here, but if you go back to our admission thread, you can find it. I applied to UTMB SEVEN times!! Now, I can't imagine being in any other class. I'm a big believer in everything happening for a reason. I know that's easy for me to say since I'm in right now, but I promise, it does happen for a reason. Hang in there!!

Wow....7 times! Good for you! I remember reading that you experienced an ordeal with your transcripts and GPA. They have lost my transcripts twice. :) I just love UTMB and I will keep frantically checking my email and hoping. I will not give up. Thanks again.

Hi guys, now Im still waiting. I had a interview on March 7. Until now I havent heard anything from them. Do u guys have any ideas?, not a lettet of rejection either. This waiting is so pin and needle. I hope that I can get into this alot because I came here with a student visa, and no matter what, as my visa status. I have to stay in school. This means even if I do not get accepted, I still need to take classes eventhough I dont have no more pre req classes for a nursing school to tkae anymore. Plus, I have to pay out of state tuition which is 3times more expensive for a community college. I came here when my family business was reallly successful, but because of economic crisis, it is slow down a whole lot. I work so so hard now to pay for school and to pay some of my bills... Anybody has an idea ??Thank
