  1. Hi everyone... I am still on the waitlist but I have questions about getting some scholarship from UTMB. The reason that I asked because I came here with a student visa, and I am only qualified to pay out-of-state tuition ( If I get accepted into the program) which will cost me almost 8,000 $ per semester excluding books and other items. However, as I talked to one international student advisor from the enrollment, she said the only way to be able to pay in-state-tuition is if I get at least 1,000$ from any academic scholarships from SON. It's not because I am greedy but I can not really afford 8,000$ per semester and I am not qualified for any financial aids. Do you know how hard is it to get a 1,000$ competitive academic scholarship there????
  2. Thank you Sarah. They will call us or notify by an email?
  3. was wondering how many people were put on the waitlist, and what 's chance to be filled on the spot.???
  4. guys, I had the interview on March 7, I just got a mail saying that I was put on the waitlist.
  5. hi guys, i just emailed them and this is what i got we are in the process of getting correspondence out to everyone that has had an interview. you should receive something by the end of this week or first part of next week. please contact me if you do not receive anything by next wednesday. thank you for your continued interest in utmb school of nursing. what does it mean by saying " you should recieve something" i am nervous of getting letter of rejection...
  6. Thank you, Eric and Sarah. I also had the interview on March 7, but I haven't heard anything either. Somehow I don't think I did good on the interview cuz I was really sick that day; I just answered the questions kind of too straightforward, and I never worked in a hospital neither had a community service because I am on a student visa and there is a restriction for me to work in this country, and also when they asked me if I was qualified for any financial aids, I told them no because I am on the visa, I am not a US citizen or a residence. I am so worried...
  7. Hi guys, now Im still waiting. I had a interview on March 7. Until now I havent heard anything from them. Do u guys have any ideas?, not a lettet of rejection either. This waiting is so pin and needle. I hope that I can get into this alot because I came here with a student visa, and no matter what, as my visa status. I have to stay in school. This means even if I do not get accepted, I still need to take classes eventhough I dont have no more pre req classes for a nursing school to tkae anymore. Plus, I have to pay out of state tuition which is 3times more expensive for a community college. I came here when my family business was reallly successful, but because of economic crisis, it is slow down a whole lot. I work so so hard now to pay for school and to pay some of my bills... Anybody has an idea ??Thank
  8. I had an interview on Wed, 7. I havent heard anything back yet. I am so worried that I would get rejected. For those who were already accepted, how many outstanding credits u guys have left? And is that considered an early admission? I have 16 credits to finish, and I am taking all of them this semeter. I am so nervous now that I havent heard anything from UTMB If I get rejection from UTMB, can I still reapply for another semester?
