I received interview email on March 1st

Interviewed on March 5th

Accepted early admittance, confirmed by email March 8th

Hey everybody!!!congrats to all with interviews and those who have been accepted! I had an interview on mon the 5th. I havent heard anything back so far...quick question for those already got accepted, did your email say early acceptance even though you had an interview. I am just curious cause i havent heard anythibg back yet

For those who interviewed and then got early acceptance, How many hours do you have left to finish your pre-reqs? And what's your GPA and stats?

Isk92 - I know it's easier said than done, but don't freak out yet. They still have another round of interviews, I believe they do 3. And so far it looks like they've only notified those who will be interviewed by Wed. Nobody is scheduled for Thurs or Fri yet, so more emails may go out as late as Tuesday for same week interviews. I know that they REALLY take into consideration Personal Statements though, so worst case scenario, you redo your statement.... Your scores are FANTASTIC & you should have no problems!!

Rocket_Ryder... Did you attend COM for a semester? I was thinking of applying there in case I do not get into UTMB the first time around.

Hi everyone,

In response to a few people's questions:

-I got my interview request March 1st, had my interview March 5th and was accepted March 8th.

-Both my interview request and acceptance were in email form, but MyStar also changed the day I was accepted.

-My email acceptance stated that I was accepted as part of early admission. I have until March 23rd to accept admission.

-I was told at my interview that you had to have fewer than 10 credit hours outstanding to be considered for early admission.

-I am currently enrolled in my final 3 credit hours. All my other prerequisite courses are complete.

-I have a 3.9 GPA for prerequisites, a 4.0 GPA for science prerequisites, a 3.6 and 4.0 for my previous two degrees, and a 92 on the TEAS.

I'm not sure this helps anyone. Hang in there and best of luck to those who have interviews this coming week. Based on message boards for previous application cycles, I believe there are more than 3 interview phases.

I sure did... well.. I didnt finish the semester though. Once I got my acceptance to UTMB (in October last fall) I only went like 3 more weeks or so before I dropped. It was starting to get hairy with the holidays and my little craft business so I called it quits to make some last minute $$$ before UTMB could take it all. If you have ?'s feel free to msg me! I would DEFINITELY recommend a back up plan just in case... I wanted to start something....ANYTHING at that point. I couldnt handle a 'free' semester though. Would have driven me nuts. I missed the fall 2011 deadline for UTMB so I was left waiting for the Spring 2012 admission...

As for all of you accepted...CONGRATS! The easy part is over :cool: Believe it or not but that WAS the easy part....Congrats and good luck to those with interviews as well!!! For those still waiting, don't lose hope. It's NOT set in stone that there are only 3 rounds of interviews, so don't give up. Oh and they call people on the waitlist up into the first week of class to fill spots too, so even if on the waitlist...dont give up!!! There is no method to their madness....

As for those feeling the need to reschedule.... I had a BIG test the day of my original interview and my prof said if I were to not show up for it, I would have to 'remake' in essay form.....I got a whopping 2 days notice for my interview date!

I explained my situation and they seemed like it was no problem at all... I just got lumped into the next group of interviews a week or so later. KILLED me to have to do that and was really hoping I didn't shoot myself in the foot for doing it....Guess I'm living proof that I didn't :)

I'm not sure if this was directed at me or not. I only applied once and interviewed once and got in.

Yes, sorry. It was for you. I thought you had applied another time and that was why you went to COM. I see by your response that you were just waiting and hoping. :)
