Hi everyone! Just thought I'd start a thread for those who are applying to UTMB for Fall 2011. There are some really great (and long!) threads out there for Spring 2011 and earlier...but as I'm sure y'all know, the application process can change from cycle to cycle, plus it's just nice to have a new thread for us. :) So feel free to post questions, comments, or anything related to applications!
I'm applying as a second-degree student to UTMB, UTHSC, TWU (Houston), UT Arlington and A&M, plus maybe the new Texas State program. Whew! I keep hearing great things about UTMB so that might be my #1....
A question to start us off: so we can now use either the centralized NursingCAS application, or the application through UTMB, right? What are you all going to do? I'm thinking of just doing UTMB's direct application....if you do NursingCAS, I think you'll have to do a supplemental UTMB application+fee anyway, so you might as well just do it all once...thoughts?
Still nothing here... No yes... No no.... So now I'm wondering since they said the end of the week are they just gonna tell everyone at the same time or are they still telling ppl in waves.... I'm so over this whole situation
Ok so my nerves got bad so I called for some answers... Friday is the magic day " supposedly" ... So if no email then letter will be in the mail Saturday or Monday :-(. Committee met today to review interviews that hadn't been evaluated ::rolls eyes::
I actually called last Friday to ask for the status of my application and the lady told me that I had been accepted. I didnt even need to give her a reason to know. My interview was on May 23rd
I dont know if this is a mistake, but I got a rejection letter yesterday. It is weird because I called yesterday to ask and she said decisions have not been made and that they would be sent out by friday. I am praying to God this was a mistake! I will call when they open...
So I just got tired of waiting and called specifically regarding my app...well still hit a brick wall.....I'm still being considering for the program. Im definitely happy about that but still no relief until Friday
I called too and they said that they're still reviewing my application!! I'm like you nellyb.. it gives me hope, but at the same time I'm scared and frustrated....On the other hand, I received an acceptance letter from College of the Mainland so I got in at Galveston College and COM, but still not my first choice...
