UTMB BACC2 Spring 2012

I wanted to start a thread for those applying for UTMB's 2012 accelerated nursing program. The application is open April 1-July 15. I was told invites for interviews start after the application is closed and interviews start end July-August. Does anyone have any additional information? Has anyone applied before? Know of any interview questions? Please share everything you know!!!!!!!

To those who have been accepted into the BACC2 program....is anyone a teacher? If so, by when do you plan on telling your AP that you will not be returning in the spring?

I just got an interview invitation email! Thank God!

I got the email at 10:04am, the interview is Monday the 17th at 1pm. Can't wait!

I am doing a telephone interview today with the Associate Dean (ah!) I was unable to go last week due to a funeral (and the fact that buying plan tickets 2 days in advance is PRICEY!! So I was fortunate that they granted me the telephone interview. If I can find out where they are in their acceptance program, I will try, but I can't guarantee anything (I don't want to sound like I am fishing too much). Wish me luck everyone. I am calling financial aid shortly - I will need a lot of money!

Ok guys - I just checked my mystar and it says I am accepted, but I havent gotten an email. Do I get super excited? I need to call them.

What did you find out?

I went to my mystar account and ACCEPTED admission too- then my hear sank as my account said "incomplete" afterwards!!

They were all in a meeting so I sent an email to the person that was suggested I contact, but they made it very clear they wont respond until tomorrow. My application has said complete for forever, and then when someone said that people saw on mystar before they got an email, I thought I would check, and bam! There it was a big ole check mark instead of the green circle. I just dont want to get too excited before I get a confirmation of some kind!

In my interview today, they said my information will go to the committee on Monday and I should know later next week. I am not going to sing for joy until I get admitted and talk to financial aid as I don't have 35,000 in tuition alone laying around. Plus living, medical, all the other expenses that get added on. Their estimate is $68000 for out of state student for the Bacc2 program. Anyone have any ideas on how to pay for it?? (besides eating peanut butter and jelly all year?

OMG! $68,000 was the estimate for out of state tuition?!? Oh no! Can I ask where'd you get that estimate from? It's crazy that out of state tuition is DOUBLE! $15,000 to $30,000. Wonder how long it takes for financial aid to kick in. Another thing to worry about, but first I've got to get in!

Hi! I've heard from previous threads that people found out they were accepted from mystar before they received an email. My mystar didn't say anything, however, until after I got my acceptance email (traditional program)... The acceptance and option to accept or decline on mystar can't come up unless someone entered it from the office... I think its time to celebrate!!
