The application opened for this program just opened the other day, and I wanted to see if I could reach out to anyone else applying!
I've submitted my application, and took the TEAS V Test this morning!
I graduated Texas A&M with a Biology Degree this year and during completion of this degree I realized Nursing is where I want to be! Hope to hear from others!
Hi everyone. I am new to this thread, and also applied to the accelerated Summer program. I received a call today to arrange an interview. I had applied on November 2nd. The admissions lady, ****, was very sweet and provided a lot of available interview dates. She then sent a confirmation email with details. Does anyone know stats on the number of applicants vs number of available spots? Best of luck to you all!
Hey sloweth, I received my interview invite today! yay exciting. But last I emailed someone this past summer, I was told they would be offering 70 seats for the BACC2 program this year. I'm curious to know the number of applicants as well. Also- how quick they will let us know if we are accepted. Until then I'll be twiddling my thumbs aka giving myself high blood pressure. Good luck to all! Keep updates with acceptances!
Hey y'all! I asked the lady after my interview when to expect to hear back. She said it would probably be a few weeks at the least, but more than likely we won't hear back until March. Hopefully it's only a few weeks! I've heard of people getting call backs anywhere from the next day to a month later! Good luck to everybody! :))
Does anyone know if everyone gets an interview? Also, to get accepted do you have to go through the interview process or are some people immediately accepted? Either way, good luck everyone!
Based on what I read on other threads by current UTMB students who also went through the process of waiting like we are doing now, not everyone got an interview invite. Some were accepted without interview. Also, the students explained that the reason for interview is for UTMB to get more info and be more convinced on why they should accept the applicant. Some students' application is already convincing enough so won't need an interview.
I hope this eases your worry. Have hope!
Just had my interview this afternoon. Of all faculty to interview me, i was interviewed by ******, the track administrator of Bacc2. She has 2 pages of questions and she is writing down what i say so i cant really tell if i am getting a positive reaction or not. Then, towards the end there was an impromptu essay question which I was not prepared. She asked me to write down my answer on the paper and said, "it is not a quiz, just write what u think"...i was given 2-3 minutes to write... Maybe checking my spelling, sentence structure, hand writing... I dont know.... It lasted for nearly 30 mins. It was a little bit scary. Not what i expected.

I spoke with them this morning and they are going interviews for the accelerated track only. Still no email from them though. People are getting interviews so hopefully the rest of us hear something!
