Sarah, I had just had the nurse attach a signed copy of the form they fill out for tb results stapled along with the form utmb provided. I hope that will work. I know we have to do a background check- after April 11th right? Did they say anything about a drug screening- I feel like we should have to submit one but I do not recall reading about it. I need to go back and look at all of the info. So much to take in! But I can not complain! Is any one considering living in the dorms? Since our program is just one year I think I could stick it out. ALSO: has anyone received anything about tuition payments or deposits? I would just hate to miss turning something in. Congrats to everyone.

Anyone know the earliest we would find out an admissions decision? I believe the latest they said was March 1st? I already had my interview, if you haven't done yours yet, do not worry. The staff is very professional but also personable, they honestly want to talk to you. Just tell them about yourself and you will do fine. One step closer everyone, we can do it! :)

Hi Megan, I apologize I know I'm on the wrong thread, as I'm applying to start for the accelerated track. However, I was hoping you could answer some questions for me. I have set up my interview time, and I feel as if I'm prepared, and your posts detailing the interview are comforting- but is there anything else I should know about the process? Also, about how long after the interview can we expect to hear an admissions decision. I know it differentiates for each applicant, but just kind of an about? I'm so very anxious and I hope that I am qualified enough. Thanks for your time!

Very thankful that I got the email to set up an interview. One step closer- trying to stay optimistic! It'd be such a great opportunity.

Does anyone know if everyone gets an interview? Also, to get accepted do you have to go through the interview process or are some people immediately accepted? Either way, good luck everyone!

I sure hope I receive an email soon. I'm getting so worried! I submitted mine I think a week before the November deadline? I just don't want to get my hopes up for anything. Always better to be pleasantly surprised I guess. It's so ironic to me that there's always a shortage of nurses and there are so many qualified ambitious people wanting to get into school so badly. Hey kittybitties, Congrats on receiving an interview! My gpa and teas scores are pretty similar to yours, but I have not gotten an email about interviews yet. I'm getting very anxious at this point. I've done plenty of volunteering and other experiences but you never know what they want. And I agree, the TEAS was way more relaxed than the hesi. When I arrived to take the teas, I thought they were forgetting to give me instructions and things, but it was just less strict. I also thought it was a better representation of knowledge but who knows. All the nursing school applications have been very stressful- they all have different deadlines, prereqs and various requirements. My best friend that's applying to PA school said its much different for them- one application, one test, and for the most part the same requirements. At this point I'm just ready to hear an admissions decision. Good luck to everyone!

Howdy! Well kind of, I'm supposed to be Class of 2013 but I graduated a year early. This year I took off of school to work and save money, so I'm very anxious to get back in school. After getting only wait-listed twice at TAMHSC(even though I thought I had pretty competitive credentials), I thought I better apply elsewhere. I guess you never know what the applicant pool will be like. I'm pretty pumped about the possibility of UTMB! I'd feel very fortunate to get to attend their program. From one aggie to another- good luck! gig 'em!
