Utilization Review as a New Grad

Hello,

I just graduated in December 2011 and it's seems nearly impossible to get a job as a new grad in Arizona. I have applied to multiple positions (everywhere from drug rehab, LTC, to hospitals) as well as to new grad programs. No luck so far. I have an interview next week at a medical billing office doing Utilization Review. I feel torn because I really want to do hands on care but I feel like I should take what I can so I can start using my license and at least have experience doing something. I figure I can keep applying to hospitals while I work there until something I really want to do comes up. Anyone have any advice on whether or not I should take this job?? What all do utilization nurses do? What is the average starting pay? Thanks!!
