Utica University - FNP Online Program

Hi My Fellow Nurses,

My name is Letisha, and I live in Brooklyn, NY. I am seeking an online Family NP Program. I know about Frontier, Downstate and Utica College. Does anyone have any reviews about Utica's online FNP program? I know it's a relatively new program. Any info is very much appreciated!

the final CCNE meeting is mid MAY. With the final announcement coming sometime in late May or early June

      For all the FNP classes, is there an attendant requirement, and do we need to listen to any lecture or attendant requirement on the specific time? Thank you

Ha! no such thing no lectures teach yourself using the powerpoints and hope for the best

Good Evening, I have an interest in the Utica nurse practitioner program. Can anyone provide an insight on the classes workload and has anyone attended the Immersion in person requirement. I leave in New York City and I’m wondering how that works. Thank you . I really appreciated any in put provided.

There are mandatory in person classes called synchronous sessions that are held via zoom and you must be present for your scheduled time or you write a 5 page paper. 
I am starting clinicals Monday and I’ve had about 4-5 classes with mandatory sync sessions.

Workload depends on you and if you can manage 2 classes. I did one class every 8 weeks and I work full time and have a busy family life and managed to maintain my good grades. I also live in NYC. You have to find your own clinical sites unless you go to one we have already established contracts with.

I am currently in RN-BSN program. Planing to apply FNP of Utica. Thank you for sharing the news!
