Hi My Fellow Nurses,
My name is Letisha, and I live in Brooklyn, NY. I am seeking an online Family NP Program. I know about Frontier, Downstate and Utica College. Does anyone have any reviews about Utica's online FNP program? I know it's a relatively new program. Any info is very much appreciated!

I just got accepted as well for Spring 2021. I am a little concerned about registering for classes and financial aid processing since classes starts on Monday. Each time I try registering myself, it says "campus restriction".

mad for financial aid, contact the office. You can find their number online in the directory
Yes, I did but yet to see the classes in my online account. Hope you got settled in?

Do we need to pay for the 24 months tracking and 10 panel drug screen? Or its just the background check and finger print? Thanks in advance
Hi everyone!
I was accepted into the FNP on a provisional basis, meaning I have to pay out of pocket for my first two classes NUR 588 and 603 and pass them with a B and then I will be fully admitted. I’m wondering if anyone else has ever been in this boat and if it’s worth it. I know my end goal is to be an FNP, but $6000 is a lot of money. Can any current students give me some insight on how those two classes are? And how the program is? Any advice/words of wisdom is greatly appreciated!
Hi Lindsey,
I’m taking my first class and finished the first week. We had good amount of reading, 2 chapters, outside sources, video presentation, replies to students and the quiz. Very doable if you can manage your time. Some people take 2 courses in 8 weeks, some choose one at the time.
school probably wants to see if you can handle based on your previous education. From what I see the first class is reading and application of néw information to your practice. Did u ever take any online undergrad courses?
I think if you really want to become an NP you can totally do it. If you are employed full-time , some people suggest to do a class at the time. Both manageable but u might not have a lot of time outside of school and work. It’s time and financial sacrifice to make based on your situation

You have to set up your own clinical sites but Utica will set up a contract for you once you have a clinical site
The school is not accredited yet if this is what your asking, they are suppose to secure accreditation by March/ April from what we have been told.
