Hi My Fellow Nurses,
My name is Letisha, and I live in Brooklyn, NY. I am seeking an online Family NP Program. I know about Frontier, Downstate and Utica College. Does anyone have any reviews about Utica's online FNP program? I know it's a relatively new program. Any info is very much appreciated!
No specific limits from what I remember, it was like a year ago so I don’t really remember much except the essay. In regards to the clinical sites, they are working on approved clinical sites, depends where you live, but 9 times out of 10, you are responsible for securing your own site and they help with establishing a contract.

I just submitted my application but did not find a space for the resume and transcripts. Did you have to submit them separately?
Hello everyone,
I just submitted the application for online FNP at Utica College. I was trying to find more information and only see FNP certification program. For those who are already enrolled, would you advise if you are in a certificate program or not? and if you can, please give me an insight on what to expect upon the start. Thanks
All class exams are different. If they are quizzes they are usually unproctored but timed.
Exams are administered through a proctoring service that Utica hires. You have to use your computer or laptop camera and are monitored through that. They don’t provide a camera. You just use what’s on your computer
Thank you so much for your insight. I am impatiently waiting for their response. In the meanwhile, I am trying to prepare myself.
In case I get admitted, I read that I need to get fingerprinted, right? Probably immunization record as well. How did you go about it?
Also, how did you get your books? Do you have any left for sale?
No problem! They use American databank which is a system you pay for that does all the digging in background check, immunizations and stuff to that nature. You’ll have to get fingerprinted but other than that they do the digging for you LOL. I rented most books from amazon or chegg and it has been pretty inexpensive thus far. I’d check into that! Getting the pdf versions (you can find some for free by just googling) is also helpful because you can search key words or phrases to help with assignments and quizzes

You don’t need to have everything right away, I didn’t need my immunization record until 1 yr into the program but it is smart to make sure you have everything and your up to date, the finger prints took me some time to get because of covid, they are understanding

I am in the process of applying. There are few questions that have boxes for reply. Is there any specific limit for the answers?
Also, for those students who are already enrolled, how are you go about your clinical? Do you have to find a preceptor on your own or UC has affiliations?
