Utica College Online ABSN

So, I looked through the archives and I couldn't find any recent reviews of Utica College's Online ABSN program. The courses are online and the clinicals are held near campus. Does anyone on here have any feedback for this program? I am not looking for advice on online vs. brick and mortar--that is research I have done a ton of: on here, elsewhere, via personal experience, etc, etc... Anyone go through this program? ♥️

I just paid the deposit to hold my spot. As much as I hate to waste $150, my fingers are crossed I get into the other program! Though if I end up with Utica, I will be going into it with very low expectations so perhaps I will be pleasantly surprised LOL

Just wondering if there is anyone out there who is starting Utica (Syracuse location) in the Fall and will be commuting from the Rochester, NY area? If so, maybe we can take turns driving and commute together? ?

@LeanneNicole I am! I had a meeting today with my advisor. I have to take Chemistry so I am 'provisionally' accepted. I am quite nervous with all of the bad reviews, but some of what I am reading just does not line up ?

I know.. it is so weird. I wish I could speak to someone currently in the program.

How did you receive your provisional acceptance? I applied and sent all my transcripts and have a meeting with my advisor this week but haven't heard if I got in.

Hello everyone, I am currently in the UTICA ABSN program in Syracuse and I'm in my third semester. I was very anxious about going into this program because of all the bad reviews. But since I have been here, it is doable. The program requires you to do a lot of busy work and manage time to study which is a lot. Some exams seem unfair but overall a student can pass the class with a B on average. One major advice is to be ready to study ALOT for the exams and attend tutoring and exam reviews.

I can compare my program with a few of my friends in other programs such as PACE and I can say that the program is fairer compared to the others.

Congratulations! ? I have to take Chemistry too and the reviews have made me concerned as well ? Do you live in Florida or will you be relocating?

@yoginurse2016 I am taking the Chemistry course through Utica’s PREP program. If you do it that way they grant provisional acceptance for the program.

@LeanneNicole I currently live in Brandon, FL so I am about 30 min from campus! Are you taking the Chemistry through them!? I start mine July 6th through the PREP program!
