UTHSCSA Traditional BSN Application Fall 15

Hey guys!

So the application to start in the Fall of 2015 is due on February 1st. Really, that is right around the corner if you think about it!

Let this thread be dedicated to all hopefuls!

I still have to take the Teas V, but I did buy the study guide with 2 tests so hopefully that helps. My cumulative GPA will be 3.2ish and my pre-req GPA will be close to 4.0. I'm extremely anxious about getting in that is for sure!

I tried a gpa calculator online but not too sure how reliable or accurate it is but I should have:

Math and science: 3.86

Overall: 3.84 (might be higher think I forgot to include my Chem classes)

TEAS: 90

I mean with those stats, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I do hope so. I'm just a little worried as to how they rank us. If experience is going to be somehow calculated in there. But we will see, come Monday.

Omg!!! I've been looking for how to look up GPA on Nursingcas and could never figure it out. :-P Can you tell me how you got it?

Go to manage my programs. In the section where it has all the steps of verifications (transcripts received, transcripts verified) there is a little download button and it will show it on there. I believe you have to scroll to the very bottom though.

past couple nighs, i've been up past 3am :(
I typically don't even go to bed until at least 4. Function better at night, that's when I always manage to do everything, and my job is primarily at night so that doesn't help. I'm going to have to completely rewire my body's sleep schedule come nursing school.

Wow, lots of activity since yesterday afternoon. Welcome to the new people!

My overall GPA and match/science GPAs aren't as high because I was sick a lot and I was a slacker when I first started school back in '07, and..well...we've gotta include everything we've ever taken, which bugs me to no end, because those C's back in the day come back and hit you hard, but here's what I've got:

Overall GPA: 3.26

Math/science GPA: 3.19

TEAS: 89.4

Since I've been back in school (Fall '13), I've been getting A's in all my pre-reqs, so...that helps. Don't think I'd even be this far if I hadn't done as well as I have been.
