UTHSCSA Traditional BSN Application Fall 15

Published

Hey guys!

So the application to start in the Fall of 2015 is due on February 1st. Really, that is right around the corner if you think about it!

Let this thread be dedicated to all hopefuls!

I still have to take the Teas V, but I did buy the study guide with 2 tests so hopefully that helps. My cumulative GPA will be 3.2ish and my pre-req GPA will be close to 4.0. I'm extremely anxious about getting in that is for sure!

The only things I can recall him having were a "C" in Micro and something like a mid 70 on the TEAS. I don't know how well he did in his other courses.

So your friend didn't have anything missing?

Maybe he was below the required math and science GPA

He didn't mention about anything being missing from his application, so I dunno...

That sounds like his math/science wasn't high enough.

What are y'alls grades and TEAS scores looking like?

Overall GPA: 3.37

math and science GPA: 3.5

Teas score: 77.3

Hey yall,

Been super anxious and worried for all of march, i'm glad i found this forum this morning and see that we are all in the same boat.

Well here's my story, overall GPA was 3.41 when I applied in december, I don't know how to check my sci/math GPA, its probably on SAC's site. Math's were A's, both chems were A's, Anatomy and physiology were A's and my C's were in micro and nutrition :( don't laugh. I got the supplemental application on Feb 3 and have not received a rejection email yet, but I guess i could still get the bad news tomorrow right?

I was reading forums from couple years ago, and they kept saying that receiving the supplemental application is a good sign. Did yall get your supp applications like a month after appplying?

What do yall think? am I in good shape, im so worried and anxious. Hope yalls saturday night is going well, hang in there!

Over all GPA 3.2 math sci close to 4.0 maybe 3.7/unsure teas 81.3%

Welcome maLarky! I just found the forum too.

I applied mid-jan and recieved my supplemental app on Feb 3rd as well. Nothing since then. :-) I'm a 4.0 GPA and got a 93 on the TEAS. I really hate waiting!

Woah! Salineth! I don't think you have anything to worry about. I'm envious, seems like we can still get a rejection email on monday. :(

I know I haven't posted yet but I've been keeping up with the thread since a couple of weeks ago.

There is a minimum required GPA, so the person who got a rejection email based on an inadequate GPA was probably because their GPA was too low to apply for the program. The overall GPA to even be considered for admission is a 2.5, so his cumulative might have been lower than that.

Also, from my understanding, everyone received a supplemental application. It says in the instructions not to sent it in and pay the $45 (if I remember correctly) if you do not meet ALL minimum requirements. So I don't believe it's an indication that you're higher in the ranking than anyone else. I received mine on February 3rd as well.

I was already accepted into TWUs nursing program for the fall but I've continued to keep up with this thread. I don't know how UTHSCSA differs from TWU, but TWU only sent acceptance emails and gave us two seeks to accept/decline before sending out acceptances to the students on the waitlists They said they would not sent out rejection emails until all available spots had been filled.

Oh, so all applicants got the supplemental application?

You're a shoo-in!(Did I spell that right?) Anyhoo, unless something really weird popped up I would be really surprised if you didn't make it in honestly.
