UTHSCSA Traditional BSN Application Fall 15

Hey guys!

So the application to start in the Fall of 2015 is due on February 1st. Really, that is right around the corner if you think about it!

Let this thread be dedicated to all hopefuls!

I still have to take the Teas V, but I did buy the study guide with 2 tests so hopefully that helps. My cumulative GPA will be 3.2ish and my pre-req GPA will be close to 4.0. I'm extremely anxious about getting in that is for sure!

Hello everybody!! I cannot believe that I just found this thread! I too have applied for the Fall 2015 BSN program at UTHSCSA and the anticipation has been killing me! I am so glad I'm not the only one freaking out about this! I figured that we would hear sometime next week.. so YAY!! Good luck everybody!!! Does anyone have an idea on what day next week we are suppose to find out? I have 2 friends already in the program and both of them found out on a tuesday.

Glad you could join us in our freak-out session we've got going on here! No idea when specifically we're to find out, but the sooner the better.

I know! It is flying by! I am loving it. It is tough and it takes a little bit of time to get into the swing of things, but once you do it's not too bad. Lots of studying and there is always something to do or to turn in. Overall though, I am really enjoying it.

I remember you from last year! Hard to believe you guys are already in your 2nd semester. How are you enjoying it so far? Is it as crazy as everyone says it is?

I know! It is flying by! I am loving it. It is tough and it takes a little bit of time to get into the swing of things, but once you do it's not too bad. Lots of studying and there is always something to do or to turn in. Overall though, I am really enjoying it.

I talked to Brandy back in February and she said that this application cycle is different than all the others that they've had! So that its not necessarily going to be the same as previous semesters! So I guess it is just a waiting game! ahhhh

Hey everyone! A friend of mine who is also waiting to hear back said she spoke to Brandy today when our club went on a tour of the simulation lab. She said that it's looking like closer to Monday, the 30th (why do they torture us like this!?! Lol). Also, it's not an alphabetical thing, it'll be sent out all at once. So, I guess that's a good thing, right? At least we'll all find out at the same time

Did she mention how it would be different? My friend who is in her first semester said that for our class, they are going to start giving us a practice NCLEX at the end of each semester, and if we don't pass them, we don't move on

oh gosh! I havent heard that! What she was referring too was the application process is different than all the previous semesters.. I guess how it's going to be for us is different from how its been for everyone else already in the program.

I just googled the school on my phone to pull up the page. And on the info part of my search it said acceptance rate is only 25%!!!
