UTHSCSA Traditional BSN Application Fall 15

Hey guys!

So the application to start in the Fall of 2015 is due on February 1st. Really, that is right around the corner if you think about it!

Let this thread be dedicated to all hopefuls!

I still have to take the Teas V, but I did buy the study guide with 2 tests so hopefully that helps. My cumulative GPA will be 3.2ish and my pre-req GPA will be close to 4.0. I'm extremely anxious about getting in that is for sure!

I thank you guys for making this thread... makes me feel good after knowing that I am not the only one waiting in agony for an acceptance letter :)

A co-worker of mine who is currently in the FNP program said that last year they sent a bunch of wait-list letters; she got one but she said that after she called and followed up, she received an acceptance letter... the representative from the school said something about "not having enough time to look at all the applications"... I hope that doesn't happen this time.

Good luck to all of us! I will also give updates if and when I receive a letter.

Hey y'all. My name is Will. I am in second semester right now along with tx2stepper. I just wanted to say good luck to all of you! I know the waiting can really be stressful. I remember checking my email CONSTANTLY!! Like seriously hitting refresh every 5-10 minutes for weeks lol. Tx2stepper and I were on here too and had a thread going just like this! lol... Hang in there! Hopefully y'all find out sooner rather than later! If you have any questions or anything at all feel free to message or write me on here.

I remember you from last year! Hard to believe you guys are already in your 2nd semester. How are you enjoying it so far? Is it as crazy as everyone says it is?

You guys find such positive eloquent ways to describe my constant inner tantrum of "THIS GAME SUUUUCKS!!!!! I DON'T WANNA PLAY ANYMORE!!!". I appreciate y'all.

I am currently on the waiting list for the accelerated program and waiting to hear about the traditional program. So I think they are still dealing with the May 2015 class full time and that's having an impact on our acceptance letters. (Yes we are all getting in and it will be amazing....positive thinking!)

Thanks for being here guys! I had a ROUGH week at the hospital and you guys helped me through. See you guys in ten minutes... When I hit refresh to see if anyone got a letter yet...again.

Does anyone know if its absolutely too late to send my new TEAS score? The score I sent them was from about a year ago so it's not from this application cycle.

I would imagine that they are well into the ranking process. I would email or call admissions and ask them. What was your initial TEAS score?

It was an 83 but I increased it to a 90. I know the 83 is still good but I want to increase my chances as much as possible!

were you in the hospital for being sick or do you work in one?

I'm pretty sure they don't take anything past the deadline, especially being as close to acceptance being sent out. That being said, it never hurts to call and ask :)
