Hello! So I had seen threads started for past classes and didn't see one yet for the Fall of 2014 class, so I figured I would start one. So let me introduce myself. My name is Will Long, I am a 27 years old male and I am applying for UTHSCSA's Traditional BSN program for the Fall of 2014. I have started my application and have signed up to take the TEAS test next Friday. I am pretty excited about finally being able to apply after finishing up all the pre-reqs. Anyways I was hoping this thread could be used a source of information and a place to ask each other questions throughout the application process. Anybody else out there applying? Have you already taken your TEAS test?
Hey Dpersyn: I'm Whitney! I'm already accepted into the Fall program because I was unable to start this January. With that said, I completed the supplemental app. last Fall. Its several short answer questions, and then one essay. The essay is pretty short, too! I think it was like a 300 word max but I don't remember exactly. The prompts are pretty generic: What made you want to become a nurse, What qualities do you feel will make you a good nurse, etc. The application was really pretty simple, and from what i hear, if you receive the supplemental app then more than likely you'll be accepted.

Hello guys! I'm glad I found this forum. I was kinda worried that I still haven't received the supplemental app, but I guess no one has gotten it yet! :)
Oh ok:) I heard getting the supplemental application means most likely you are accepted. I'm checking my email all the time now! Haha I love UTHSCSA's admission process if much faster than other schools !

I have heard the same thing!!! Haha I feel ya. I have my email open in a separate window and everytime I see a new email come through I have a slight heart attack. Hopefully they send it out soon because this can't be good for my health.

Yeah, i got the same email two day ago too. That UT has received everything. Anyone have any idea what the supplemental application will look like?
