UTHSCSA Traditional BSN Application Fall 14

Published

Hello! So I had seen threads started for past classes and didn't see one yet for the Fall of 2014 class, so I figured I would start one. So let me introduce myself. My name is Will Long, I am a 27 years old male and I am applying for UTHSCSA's Traditional BSN program for the Fall of 2014. I have started my application and have signed up to take the TEAS test next Friday. I am pretty excited about finally being able to apply after finishing up all the pre-reqs. Anyways I was hoping this thread could be used a source of information and a place to ask each other questions throughout the application process. Anybody else out there applying? Have you already taken your TEAS test?

I have heard the same thing!!! Haha I feel ya. I have my email open in a separate window and everytime I see a new email come through I have a slight heart attack. Hopefully they send it out soon because this can't be good for my health.

Couldn't agree more, it's so nerve racking!,

Ok, so I called them this AM, they said it would still be a few weeks until supplemental apps were sent out.

They sent me a message and they said they will send it 25-28 feb.

Thanks for the update...I guess I can stop checking my email every 5 minutes...am I the only one doing this? :unsure:

UGH... lol. Tired of this waiting game. tx2stepper, nope. I have been that since the 1st lol. :nailbiting:

If they sent the supp. app. , does it mean we will get accepted?

OK so I stalked older threads on UTHSCSA for fall 13 and they got their supple end of feb and found out around mid march so hopefully it's like that for us.

@ harrysmuse...keep in mind though that the application deadline used to be Jan 10th (with some extensions)...Ours is the first with a Feb 1st app date...

@tx2stepper trueee

When should be start getting vaccinated? I'm terrified of needles and not looking forward to this but I feel like I need to start soon since some of them take some time.

Good question! Has anybody else started their immunizations? I was thinking about starting mine this week. The Hepatitis B series can take 4-6 months to complete. The Hepatitis A&B combo can be done in 5-6 weeks, but you have to have a booster the following year.

I feel like I already have gotten HEP B AND HEP A as an infant ..
