Hey everyone! I haven't seen a thread yet for the UTHSCSA Spring 2017 application cycle, so I decided to start one! The deadline is coming up in less than a month! Feel free to comment whatever you would like!

Where did you hear that the deadline had been extended? I didn't see anything on their website.

Yeah! I haven't seen anything on their site either but I received this mail:

"[COLOR=#363636]We are writing to make you aware of an important change in the Pacesetter BSN Admissions Program. Effective immediately, the Pacesetter BSN Spring 2017 application deadline date has moved to September 1, 2016. This date was changed to give prospective students enrolled in Summer 2016 courses more time to have transcripts submitted and reviewed for Spring 2017 admission.

With this change, all applications materials must be submitted by this new date in order to be considered complete for faculty review. Incomplete applications will not be considered. To learn more about the Pacesetter BSN admission criteria, please visit nursing.uth.edu. [/COLOR]

My Bad! Deadline not extended. I got it all mixed up with a different school I had considered. Blame it on the nerves. LOL

I think that extension is for the Houston UTHSC. I believe that San Antonio still has the sate of Aug 1st as their deadline. :)

Hey Everyone!

My application is signed, sealed, and delivered for this application cycle as well! I found out late that this semester even existed as I was planning to apply to the accelerated program. I have my BS degree and tons of extra science courses (Organics I & II, Physics, etc.) so I'm hoping that will cover my TEAS score of 76 (ouch) from 2011 (ouch, ouch). I didn't have enough time to retake it and hoping my GPAs (3.5 overall, 3.8 Science) get me in. Otherwise I'll be studying for the new ATI Teas for the May accelerated program. I'd really like my summers off so hopefully I will see you guys this Spring!

I think the email said they would make decisions by the 2nd of Sept so I'm assuming after that...

I just looked at my Nursing Cas and they undelivered my app due to me not manually inputing my transcripts correctly(I only manually entered the 60 hrs of prereqs not the other 60hrs that I have from my LVN and a few misc.) Now I have one week to make it right. They want it from an official transcript but that probably won't mail out till Monday ( I purchased it just incase and they are only avail by mail..smdh).

I AM KINDA FREAKING OUT!

p.s. Nursing Cas did not email me with an update of my app status... it is by chance that I double checked and found this out!!!

Hi guys!! I finally submitted my application tonight. (Close to deadline. Don't judge me) haha! Now for waiting!!! :( I felt nauseous as I was clicking submit! Lol! Good luck to everyone! :)

I felt nauseous when I clicked submit also. I feel nauseous just talking about it :nailbiting:
