UTHSCSA Spring 2017 Applicants

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hey everyone! I haven't seen a thread yet for the UTHSCSA Spring 2017 application cycle, so I decided to start one! The deadline is coming up in less than a month! Feel free to comment whatever you would like!

I have an important question. If I submit my application, will the transcripts have to be verified before the deadline?

no. just need to be received before the deadline.

So u guys took Chemistry 2?

So u guys took Chemistry 2?

I did :)

I just submitted my TEAS V scores and my application is now complete! Does anyone have an idea as to when we will find out if we have been admitted?

5pm 2nd September at the latest

Hey everyone! Glad to see the thread finally has people commenting on it! The deadline is coming up pretty quick!

I guess all that is left is to anxiously await the response! Does anyone know of any hospitals in San Antonio that would have openings for volunteering this fall? I'm in the process of moving back to town to help take care of my grandparents and need something to keep me busy until January.

I currently volunteer at University Hospital! It's kind of a lengthy process but very well worth it! You submit an application, schedule an interview, attend orientation, and then you're free to volunteer!

Hi guys!! I finally submitted my application tonight. (Close to deadline. Don't judge me) haha! Now for waiting!!! :( I felt nauseous as I was clicking submit! Lol! Good luck to everyone! :)

So, the deadline has been extended to September 1st. I'm not sure if that's good or bad. The waiting time to know if we've been accepted might extend too:no:. I even toyed with the idea of taking another TEAS until I noticed "the test may be taken only once per admission cycle":bluecry1:. So nervous!!! Good luck to all.

I also have another question.

It states "Complete all required math and science courses by the application deadline. "

But I have not taken Chemistry 2 yet... and it also states

"Complete the required prerequisite courses. Applicants who do not hold a baccalaureate degree from a Texas public institution will need to complete 51 of the 60 semester hours of required prerequisite courses prior to the application deadline."

I have completed 51 semester hours of all the other required prerequisite courses and do NOT have a baccalaureate degree.

Does this mean I am still able to apply? Thanks!

You need to complete ALL math and science before applying. They calculate your math and science gpa when determining your acceptance into the program.
