Hello everyone! I am applying to the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (UTHSCSA) Accelerated program and also the traditional program. I wanted to start a thread since I haven't seen one yet. Anyone else out there wanting to apply to the program too? I am currently finishing my Microbiology and Anatomy & Physiology II classes and then I plan to take the TEAS VI this summer. Would love to hear from others planning to apply to the program!
That i'm not quite sure of. I looked on the website, and I don't see anything in regards to being able to apply if you haven't completed all the traditional program prerequisites; unless that just isn't advertised on the website. Plus, I don't think I could afford 24 months of being unemployed, i'd rather just reapply and save money for next year. But, I can only hope for the best. Good luck to all!!!
Yes! Thank you for letting us know! I was about to call the school, but I figured I would check here first. I'm getting so nervous! I don't know if I should submit my application for the traditional program or wait till the last minute! I really was hoping we were going to hear something by now!
So, I called the school and they said most likely they wont be releasing anything until after Feb 1st.
You were able to get them on the phone? I just get a busy tone and the line drops, though the 877 number sends me straight to voice mail. (Tried again today to a few different numbers. Actually, I have one of their biz cards, which has a typo. Call that number and you get a car dealership! lol)
But yeah, the only way I've been able to contact them is via email. Of course they're so busy it has taken weeks in the past to get a response. I was also told that they do not accept walk-ins, due to how backed up they are. I wonder if this includes walking up to the office and just asking when application responses/approvals might be sent out?

If you have a bachelor's degree from a Texas public university, then you only need the prereqs that were required for the accelerated program. At least, that is my understanding.
