So just got off the phone with the school of nursing. They told me they are working on the letters now and are trying to send them out today, and if not, tomorrow. I feel like today is going by so slow! This wait is causing me to have anxiety!

Yes, I found out when I submitted the application. The other fee is $45. I didn't see it on the admissions website though. í ½í¸•

Hello!!! That would be so helpful! Thank you!!! I'm sorry if I ask too many questions, I just want more insight from someone who is already in the program. This helps tremendously!!! I am extremely anxious! If you remember, about when did you hear back about your application? I also wanted to ask, what does your schedule look like for the week? One more thing, what type of financial aid is available since we already have a bachelors and no longer qualify for grants? I know I can talk to the financial aid office about this, however it is nice to know from an actual student, like if you know about any scholarships or programs that will help pay for tuition for working for them in return. Again, thank you so much!!!

Yes, I submitted my application. Now just have to wait, and my anxiety is kicking in. I'm in the same situation, I hate the idea of not being able to have an income while in school, but we'll see what type of financial aid I can get. There are a lot of programs that will pay back some or all of your student loans if you work for them in return. My aunt is a nurse practitioner and she did the same when she was an RN. She worked for a low income clinic and they paid back her student loans. It might not be the best working conditions and a lower pay, but I think it's worth it if they are paying back my loans. Yes, there doesn't seem to be a lot of people on this thread. I was reading around on other ones as well. Would like for more people to join!

So I can share with you what I know about the financial aid situation. Since I have a bachelors already, I am no longer eligible for any grants. I can however still take out Stafford loans, since I haven't reached the maximum amount, which is $57,000 for independent students. But I'm probably going to be a bit short so I might have to either take out a small private loan or apply for scholarships. This information is just from the research I have done for my situation. As far as the type of program, I heard it is very intense and you can't really have a job while in the program. There is a section on here where someone in the program gives a detailed schedule of what it's like being enrolled in the program, but I can't remember the name of the section. Have you submitted your application? I have a BS in Health from UTSA. I'm super nervous! I also read on here for last years applicants, they found out if they were accepted or denied around Jan. 21!!! I feel like I will be waiting forever!!!!!

I believe you can still apply unless it is a math or science course. As long as they get your transcripts and application by the deadline, but I could be wrong.

No, I'm only applying for the accelerated program. If I don't get in, I'm shooting for SAC since I will more than likely have to pay out of pocket. Yea those questions were kinda hard to answer with only using a total of 600 characters, but I submitted everything. Just waiting for nursingcas to verify my transcripts. I just really hope I get in since it's my first choice.
