  1. I'll be going to the one on the 10th at 1:30pm.
  2. Hey All! I got in as well. I sent a request to join the facebook group! I'm still so VERY stunned to receive that email. I was in the middle of dinner and I just COULD NOT finish my meal. :) I'm SO excited to start, and I'm VERY excited to meet everyone! Lets work real hard!
  3. I think the third week of January.
  4. Alright, so I lived in Lubbcock from 2008-2013 to go to Tech. I never worked at UMC, but I've been treated there. The staff seemed great. In terms of family life, I have a 15 month old now and I would be perfectly okay with raising her there. There is definitely a college vibe in the area around UMC, obviously, and tons of college kids around. There are pockets of bad and good thorughout, I'd say try to get into Tech Terrace Neighborhood if you're buying a home. Rent ranges a lot. I missed the rent there. My husband (fiancee at the time) and I rented 3 bedroom houses with a roomate for 900. (In San Antonio, we rented a one bedroom with a study for 1050.) Traffic isn't terrible there. There isnt any drainage, so the highways and roads turn into rivers when it rains. Town is super spirited about Tech. You get snow on occasion. Football games are fun to go to. Triple J is a great restaurant, and go see "D" at One Guy Pizza on University. Your tummy will thank you! :)
  5. I'm so glad there is another momma in the thread. I read up on most posts before posting. I'm considering also applying for Fall 2018 now that I've heard the ABSN student talk about the "flexibility" with the TBSN program. I worry about my science GPA, I hope that my Application Questions will boost me up, EVEN if we were limited to 600 characters. Would anyone be up to chatting on Facebook Messenger or something that notifies us quicker? Are y'all uploading resumes or anything?
  6. I'm starting to consider SAC as well if I don't get in for the same reason. Yeah it was hard to limit it to 600 characters! Would you mind if I asked what your undergraduate degree was in?
  7. No. I'm really trying to get the three questions answered to my liking. Are you also applying for the accelerated program? I think we'll know by mid to late January. Are you considering applying for the fall 18' traditional program just in case?
  8. Hey everyone! I'm getting nervous as I'm about to sit for my TEAS exam. I PROBABLY should have taken it sooner, but here we are. Application deadline is December 15th, but does anyone know how long it takes for them to send acceptance/ decline letter?
  9. Is anyone applying for the Accelerated BSN program? I'm about to sit for my TEAS saturday and I'm FREAKING OUT. :C
