Are evaluations a good sign or just another way to get our hopes up? Lol.

I have received a total of 3 evals, but only scored a 90 on my HESI, so I'm not sure why they haven't sent you guys one. I do remember reading on past threads that some people that were accepted didn't receive evals until after they were accepted. So hopefully this is all just due to them being disorganized at UTHSC.

I have been having an issue with them not seeing my Chem class on my transcripts. I spoke to someone at HCC registrar & he said he has tons of problems with UTHSC not reading transcripts correctly. So I've now sent them the 4th copy of my official transcript that I KNOW has Chem on it, so we'll see if that gets corrected. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you guys that have yet to get an eval. Try not to get discouraged!

Thank y'all for the birthday wishes!! Yeah I wouldn't panic about evals! On past threads plenty of people get in without ever receiving one, and there were a few that got evals but were wait listed so there's no guarantee either way. I honestly think that they just randomly send them out. I got two and the second one had nothing new on it, maybe they have a system that just automatically starts spitting them out and they mail what they can! Who knows! I am just getting real sick and tired of waiting for admissions decisions! I'm just ready to get the show on the road now!!

hallie.y, I think we have a better chance of changes happening next week than we do this week.

I haven't got my evaluation either (but at the same time, I have a green circle on my online status), and so I decided to call up the school today--plus it's October. So I called and spoke to the admission lady first about the evaluations. She said that the registrar was the one who handled all that ("evaluation"), and so I asked her to transfer me to them, which she did. Then I explained the same stuff to the registrar, and right after I spoke, the registar said "Hold on and I'll transfer you to the admissions'. Ok, now you understand... It's like a cat and mouse game. So then I told my situation again, and maybe it was the same admission lady I talk to or another lady. Whatever, she had a loud tone of voice, and flat out I thought she was rude.

SO I asked her... I haven't received my evaluations yet. It's October. Have you all sent out all the evaluations yet?

And she responded...We don't send out evaluations until you have been accepted. (Ok,...in my mind... some of the folks on all nurses have got evaluations. Wouldn't what she say be contradicting?)

Then I asked her...If we do get accepted, will our status online change (i.e. green circle to green check mark)?

And she responded... No, if you get accepted, then you'll get an official acceptance mail that says you're in. Those status online won't change until after you get accepted. (Ok again [in my mind] I was like all those student from the prior all nurses forum knew of their acceptances via the online system.)

And she told me...I don't know where you have being get all that information, but that's not it.

Anyways, sorry for the long post guys. I've been somewhat frustrated with these admission people. It's like you don't get an evaluation, and you just want to know what's going on right? So you ask them about the status, and it's like they don't even want to help or answer your question.

Yeah, this is just my account. If you guys did called up the school, and you did talk to some other people that said otherwise...Feel free to add to the forum.

I also have the green circle on my status. They had most of my things since I applied last round. What you just explained is the exact same runaround I got. And for that exact same reason my heart sank because I felt, with that bit of information, that I hadn't/wouldn't be accepted. We'll see, but I'm not holding my breath. :/ Back to whatever will be will be! hehe

I have an issue. When I log on my status is a yellow triangle. I recieved an evaluation in September and all my courses were accepted and complete. If I sent everything why is it still incomplete? My to do list says to send my transcript?? I did, hence the evaluation. Anyone else having this problem?

I know several of us have had that same issue. I just emailed them & they changed it to green.

I'm already getting tired of seeing other schools already sending out acceptances!!! Why does it take so long for UT? They have no letters of recommendation, no interviews, and no essays to go over? What takes so long? Ughhhh

I was thinking the same thing yesterday. The only reason I can think of the delay is because of the pacesetter decision. The Dean did say that they would be taking a vote whether to go 100% pacesetter before the Spring 2014 applicants were notified of acceptance, so I have a feeling that may be what's holding us up.

Oh really? You mean even we could be doing the pacesetter?? I didn't want to so that! I was glad I was applying for spring so I wouldn't have to worry about that!
