UTHSC Traditional BSN Spring 2014 Applicants

I have seen many threads for previous applicants for past semesters to the UT Houston School of Nursing. I wanted to start one myself as I am applying for the spring 2014 traditional BSN and have yet to find a thread for it. Although I opened it for applicants, I would also encourage previous applicants, current/previous students, and applicants for other semesters at UTHSC to join in and share in this exciting time!

I'm going to have a full head of grey hair by November! LOL ;)

I just want to clarify; is that what the website said (that we would receive admission decisions by November) or what the admission lady said? Last year the applicants for this school got notified by mid October and application deadline was Sept 1. Anyhow, that means this round the waiting process is longer lol?

The website says we will know by November 15 and the lady said it would be in November but that's like for all admissions, wait lists and denials! After the last few rounds though from this website ican tell the admissions start going out in mid October so it should be soon!

Ugh!! I really hope we will start hearing something in the next two weeks. I think they just say November to give themselves some lee-way in case it takes them longer. Or maybe they START notifying people in mid-October, and everyone will know for sure if they are accepted by November 15.

I called the admissions office on Friday and I was told we should find out by November 15th! Below are the stats of the past two years. With the early deadline...I'm predicting we will find out this month.

*Spring 2012 applicants started getting acceptances on November 1, 2011.

*Spring 2013 applicants started getting acceptances on October 18, 2012.

It could be this week guys! And from what I've seen in past threads, no matter what wave of acceptances you're in they send emails around 10 am so everyday I check my email on my phone around 11, if nothing is there I can go ahead and guess it won't be that day (even though I still keep my notifications on for any emails that come through). And a lot go to your spam so check your spam daily just jn case!
