UTHSC Summer 2017

Published

Hi everyone, I just wanted to begin a thread for all UT Health SON students who are applying for Summer 2017. I didn't see a thread created for this term yet. I look forward to getting to know all of you as we begin this long journey. Feel free to share anything regarding the application process and/or ask any questions that you may have!

Specializes in Radiation Oncology.

My status is still incomplete as I have courses in progress. No hyperlink or changes that I have noticed yet.

Specializes in ER.
Lol too funny

The force is strong with this group.

I bet they are getting slammed with emails and phone calls this morning.

So I just called and apparently they're still in the process of making decisions and they're not sure why some of our portals have changed that decisions don't go out until April 15th...

It may true that the the change in our portals was a glitch, but I have a hard time believing they are waiting until April 15th to send notifications.

I think they say April 15th because that is the date on the website and also it's the latest they can notify.

Historically looking back on last year's thread, we can see notifications went out starting in February.

They like to play people our emotions  I am already high strung over here at work lol.

Me too! I'm a wreck! And I have an exam in Med Term tonight, an assignment for Path due Wed 8AM, an exam in Pharm at the end of the week, and I'm slammed at work.... ugh...

Yah this is a crock. They are saying April 15th because that is what they are required to say.

Like a speed limit sign...those are really just a strong suggestion. Everyone knows that.

Sounds like me right about now. :dead:

Chem homework due Tuesday and Thursday, and then a Chem test and Stats test back-to-back on Thursday morning.

Positive vibes though for this whole week and everyone awaiting their admissions status!

I feel for y'all, I remember how it felt waiting for the notifications last semester!

I wish y'all good luck, and I know it is hard, but try to concentrate on your classes and not when they will send notifications! It wont help any anyways :)

I have a feeling that it will be next week at the earliest

Yeah when she said April 15th and didn't know why some things have changed and she didn't seem a bit concerned I just said ok thank you :) they seem to withhold a lot of information so I don't depend on a lot of what they say, but we shall see!!

Jennmv.. do you recall having these "View Application Details" links at all when you applied?
