Hey! I am applying for the Accelerated BSN program at UT Health Science Center Houston that starts in the summer and had couple of questions. I didn't see any topics regarding that particular session (saw the Spring 2014 one) so I started this one.
So I have most of my prereqs for nursing but I still need to take my science prereqs during the upcoming fall semester. I had taken most of the prereqs (like english, psychology, etc) during high school, like dual credit, and now I just need my science classes and a few extra prereqs (like sociology).
The main question that I had about the application process was if I am eligible to apply just yet? I want to enter the summer term and will complete all my prereqs by Spring 2014. But the deadline is Dec 1 (if i'm right). Would I have to complete my science prereqs first? Or could I send in what I have and continually update them with my grades? I will complete all other requirements before the deadline (taking the HESI in October), but my grades won't be complete till after the deadline.

Congratulations to all that was accepted I wish you all the best. When will they stop sending out acceptance letters? I have applied for both the Summer and the Fall and all I have are those green circles still. I don't know what to think anymore as I don't know if this is good or bad...HELLLP I'm freaking out because I'm nervous.[/quote

I am in the same boat as you. I applied to both and have not heard anything. Keep having faith and I have to remind myself not to think negative. April 15th we can still get good news and that's what I'm hoping for
That is correct. Don't panic because think about it like this. Until you officially get a denial letter which we haven't we can't stress ourselves out. We will get in
Anyone who has not been accepted check your emails. I just got my acceptance email. My stats are 93 hesi 830 critical thinking. 2.3 overall and 2.25 science. I really didn't think I was going to make it but I did so don't give up!!!!!
mypicasso2014: Thank you and good luck! I hope you get the email soon. I know at some point I'd decided that I would be happy if they would just send me anything, even a denial letter, so I would know for sure.

I received my denial letter today in the mail for summer 2014. I have also applied for the fall, so hopefully I will hear something soon. My stats are: HESI 90% with an 870 CT and I also have an all around 4.0 GPA. Congrats to all that have been accepted :-)

Don't give up hope! I had applied to Spring 2014 and was denied. I went ahead a applied to Summer thinking I didn't have a chance but got in. With your stats, I don't see why you won't get in. Chin up!

Sorry to hear that Did you get an evaluation in the mail at all to make sure they evaluated all your courses correctly?
Well it looks as if I won't be joining the summer session as I've received my denial letter in the mail over the weekend! Thank God I did get 2 other offers through LoneStar so that's where I will attend. The good news is that I still will graduate in August 2015 just not from UT! lol To all that have been accepted again congrats and good luck with your studies. I applied for the Fall term so I will wait and see what happens there. My stats was an overall 87% on Hesi, 3.5 science GPA and overall GPA of 3.3. Also I have a BS in Criminal Justice with a minor in Forensic Psychology. I've began to believe that the selection is through a lottery because some have been chosen with awesome stats as well as denied. Either way it was a good run...
I'm sorry you didn't get into UTHSC but congrats on getting into LoneStar. Also just so you know, Sam Houston State University's Fall BSN program's application deadline isn't until June if you wanted to apply there...
