UTHSC Nursing Spring 2016

Hey guys, just wanted to begin a thread for all UT Health SON hopefuls who are applying for Spring 2016. I look forward to getting to know all of you as we begin to play what seems to be the longest waiting game ever! I am more than confident that each and every one of us will be receiving our acceptance letters around this same time next year:) Feel free to share anything regarding the application process and/or ask any questions that you may have!

Yes I agree with lsizemore2015. We are just anxious and excited to find out what the next step of our journey is.

Has anyone here been accepted to TWU Houston? I have and they give us until October 28th to accept it. I called UT this morning and the lady told me on or by November 15th!? I'm hoping it's before that any idea when?

My stats: 3.8 GPA, 92 HESI, 820 CT

First, congrats on your acceptance at TWU. :-)

As for hearing back from UTH I was told by an advisor a few days ago that she doesn't expect any acceptances to be sent out until the first week of November.

I questioned perhaps whether there was a chance we would hear right before Halloween and she said she was doubtful. :-(

I am with you. I don't know if I should accept because the deadline to confirm is Oct 28th..But UTHSC is my first pick.....

I feel ya ladies. I have all kinds of dead lines for UH. Including an orientation fee due nov. 2nd. Was hoping to have an answer before then. Decisions decisions

I recall someone mentioning not to display a specific name on forums, so all I'll say is that the name starts with a letter B. :-)

Another hint is that she is super friendly along with being the most helpful advisor from the SON office.

Has anyone tried to email the TWU advisors to see if they could possibly extend the deadline for those still waiting for a confirmation from UTHSC? Or would that be rude?

you can accept your acceptance now if you get into another program then you can decline it later....my friend did the same thing last year
