UTHSC Houston - Summer 2016 Applicants

Published

Hey everyone!

I couldn't find a thread for Summer 2016 that was active so I'm starting one here! I am also an applicant for Fall 2016 but I'm applying for both because the deadlines are close and I really want to go here!!

So far I'm taking courses over the summer right now and going to finish my prerequisites this fall. I JUST finished the HESI exam today!!! Hope to hear from all of you soon

I think bearfur is right. The next wave is probably not until April 15th since they stress that date so much. I'm not holding my breath, but if somehow I did get accepted, that wouldn't give me much time to move to Houston.

For some reason I think the next wave will be sometime early March!

They sent out a second wave of acceptances, and I got accepted!!!!

My stats:

Overall 4.0

Nursing GPA 4.0

Hesi 95%

CT 980

I was accepted aswell. Congrats.

Congratulations! Still no email in my inbox for summer term...guess I should just start hoping towards fall term acceptance. Good thing I went ahead and applied for both terms.

I received an email as well! Congrats to the others who were in the same "wave" and don't give up to those still waiting to hear.

Congrats to those of you who got accepted!! Following this thread too although I only applied for Fall.

I received an email to check my application status and it asked me to accept the admission so I guess I'm in too!!!!

Does anyone know if immunizations/ shots need to be done now??? and also CPR card, I heard that we have to have a BSL for health care provider to be able to do clinical. Have anyone done that yet?

Will everyone who got in please post their stats??[emoji120]🏼

Overall GPA: 3.298

Nursing Prerequisite GPA: 3.540

Prerequisite Science GPA: 3.00

Hesi score: 83.6

Reading Comprehension 76%

Grammar 80%

Vocab & General Knowledge 82%

Anatomy & Physiology 92%

Math 88%

I think I'm very lucky to be accepted. My score isn't too good.

Congrats! Well, I've heard they take more than just your grades into consideration. They look at wether you were working part or full time, how many classes you've repeated, and things of that nature. Not everyone with perfect scores got them the first time around. Congrats! You give me hope for fall!

Hi nquach!

I started my immunizations/titers last week. I would go ahead and get a head start since some of them have to be spaced out/can't be done together. Also, I signed up for the CPR class through the Red Cross. They had tons of options for one day classes that last a few hours.

I received an email to check my application status and it asked me to accept the admission so I guess I'm in too!!!!
