Hey everyone!
I couldn't find a thread for Summer 2016 that was active so I'm starting one here! I am also an applicant for Fall 2016 but I'm applying for both because the deadlines are close and I really want to go here!!
So far I'm taking courses over the summer right now and going to finish my prerequisites this fall. I JUST finished the HESI exam today!!! Hope to hear from all of you soon

Congrats! Well, I've heard they take more than just your grades into consideration. They look at wether you were working part or full time, how many classes you've repeated, and things of that nature. Not everyone with perfect scores got them the first time around. Congrats! You give me hope for fall!
I'm just curious when people applied (like month) right before the deadline or way back in 2015 and, did those of us who got accepted have all transcripts complete when you submitted your application, since GPA and HESI scores are varying a lot with those accepted! Just trying to to maybe see if that has anything to do with the way students are accepted into the program.
I submitted my application in August shortly after my summer grades posted. I applied with 41 credit hours and 4.0 science/pre-req GPA and 95.6% 980 CT HESI score. At the end of December I submitted my transcript from my fall classes so I had 54 hours and when I called they said that they would consider that transcript for summer acceptance even if it was after the deadline as long as they had not started making decisions. I am not sure how true that is because we all know how much different information we hear from them over the phone. I don't have a job and no real hospital experience except the clinical from getting my CNA license. I was not in the first wave of acceptances, but the second.
Hope this is helpful.
I got accepted on friday as well (second wave)! Super excited! wanted to share my stats... for those with lower gpas, there is hope:)

Don't know what they look at, but here is an overview of my profile: I was waitlisted for spring 2016 but didn't get a call. I applied with the same stats and got in! (perhaps summer is less competitive?) I have a degree from UH in psych, I also took all my prereqs (with the exception of 4 classes) at the university. All 60 credits were completed by the submission of both applications. Hope this helps!!
