UTHSC Houston - Summer 2016 Applicants

Hey everyone!

I couldn't find a thread for Summer 2016 that was active so I'm starting one here! I am also an applicant for Fall 2016 but I'm applying for both because the deadlines are close and I really want to go here!! :laugh:

So far I'm taking courses over the summer right now and going to finish my prerequisites this fall. I JUST finished the HESI exam today!!! Hope to hear from all of you soon :up:

I wonder if those were the last of them... There has already been 3 waves of acceptances that have gone out.

There should be another wave of it in about 10 days or so. These will be the people that failed to except or know that they will not be attending the summer. Keep your hopes up. I had all but resigned mine and viola, I got in! Good luck!

To those who just got accepted- Has your status on myUTH changed yet?

My status has not yet changed. If you go to the Facebook page (link is in one of the posts if you scroll up), there are a number of us that are still waiting. All I have received is the Congratulations e-mail from admissions. You will receive another email stating your status has changed in MY UTH. I hear it may take a few days. Some people have said that they received the MY UTH status change before receiving the congratulations email from admissions. I'm waiting to get my $200 paid so I know I will be in the system and can start my clearance from immunization/background check holds.

Hey bearfur - you can still start getting your immunizations/titers even if you can't upload anything yet. I wish I had started doing everything back in December.

hey guys. I was looking online at the schedule, does anyone know how many hours of clinical we have per week? i was looking and i saw adult health care clinical had "thurfrisat times 6:30am-6:30pm" would it really be three days in a row 36 hours?

I believe it is one of the 3 times we are in clinicals and they do not begin for several weeks.

Thank you runshannierun, I have everything completed, including titers. I may need one or two, but my immunizations (including Hep B) have been done for a few years. Just waiting to get my status to update in MY UTH. If it is not done by Friday, I'm going to be calling to see what the problem is.
