This thread is dedicated to the applicants of UT Houston's Spring 2012 application period. I've seen various threads posted throughout the discussion forum regarding the upcoming application period, but they are scattered and hard to keep track of. Maybe if we keep our discussion in one place it will be easier for us all to follow :)
I'm applying with the following stats:
Pre-req GPA: 3.21
Science GPA: 3.66
Overall GPA: 2.81
I know my chances of getting in aren't great with my overall GPA, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed anyway! Please post your stats, your thoughts, your experiences, ideas and opinions here:)
Good luck to everyone!!
I called the school today, asked if they are still in the acceptance process. The only answer I got was a stoic "acceptance/denial letters are mailed November 15". Sad and frustrating. I have a few classmates who have also applied, and they haven't heard either... please keep posting if you hear acceptances.
i hate to be negative but not everyone has fb so thats probably like 20-30 not accounted for. but i just hate building up my hopes only to be let down. on a more positive note, someone told saraiish that UT link will start changing by the end of this week. So i would give it til friday before we lose all hope.

I totally understand your frustration. I have statistics like yours and applied for the Fall 2011 and got a rejection letter within 2 wks of the deadline. I was surprised and thought it was because I hadn't done my Micro so I completed every requirement and reapplied for Spring 2012 just to see what the issue would be this time around, but I'm yet to see any change. Thankfully, I applied to utmb and twu and got in to both progs without a hassle, so I'm going to utmb cos it's just 1yr for the fast track prog.
So frankly, I really don't know what ut houston wants. . . Maybe we should be good, but not too good, lol. I'm happy for those who are in and I'm even happier that I'll have my BSN by end of next year. Sometimes I think we aren't just meant to be in certain places at certain times for our own good, so it's best not to push things too hard.
