I am applying to UTHSC Houston - Fall 2013. Anybody else?

I will start a FB page but I wanted to make sure our grad date would be December 2014 right? I was going to name it UTHSC-SON class of December 2014 (that's what the past groups have done)[/quote']

I also received an acceptance email today. I am so excited! I am still waiting to hear from UTMB. If I get accepted there as well, it will be a tough decision. Congratulations to everyone that received acceptances today.

Awesome!! I can help too. My FB name is Monicah Hunda-Ndegwa. The page they had last semester was a private group and one had to request to join. The admins added people to the group. Maybe we can do it that way too because we will be sharing a lot of info that we don't want the public to read. What do you think?

kkai and carlajeanx I am now in the same boat as y'all! The honors program at UTMB sounds great but I don't know how I could leave Houston right now because I have a complicated family situation going on right now... And before I knew about the honors program, I was pretty sure about going to UT Houston if I got accepted.

Sad to hear! I will most likely be going to UTMB especially if I get into the honors program. Will you be releasing your spot for UTMB? KKai, are you as well?

Hi Everyone,

Congrats to those who have been accepted already. I had applied for the Spring 2013 intake and got accepted. I did everything required to start the program and even bought books and uniform. Two weeks before the start date, they received my final transcript and I was told that one of my electives could not transfer! (Introduction to computers - ITSC 1301 at HCC). I was so disappointed that I was not going to start with everyone else and wanted to give up, but then I applied again for the Fall 2013 and they just accepted me again!!

My best advice is to make sure that your electives will transfer. Call them and find out if you are not sure. It is still early enough to CLEP a class if you have to, or take another class in Summer 1. Just because you get that letter of acceptance, does not mean that you are IN. I learned that the hard way. I am taking three electives this semester just to be sure it doesn't happen to me again.

Once again congrats everyone and good luck!! Hopefully someone starts a facebook group like they did for the Spring semester.

I did Speech 1315 and they accepted it. I'm taking Math 1314 as well as Math 1332 (Math for Liberal Arts) and BCIS 1405 (Business Computer applications). I am pretty sure these will transfer, but call them about Speech 1311.

Can you or someone explain to me why the graduation date is in December? Does the traditional BSN program go through the summer also or what? Sorry I'm just a bit confused :p

The program is sixteen months long. Yes, it runs through the summer too.
