    UTHSC Houston - Fall 2013

So I just checked MyUTH and on my to do list it has my HESI scores, Official Transcript, Proof of Prior BS degree, and TSI requirement. The only thing that used to be left on my list was the official transcript.. Is anyone else having this problem??

    UTHSC Houston - Fall 2013

kkai and carlajeanx I am now in the same boat as y'all! The honors program at UTMB sounds great but I don't know how I could leave Houston right now because I have a complicated family situation going on right now... And before I knew about the honors program, I was pretty sure about going to UT Houston if I got accepted.

    UTMB Fall 2013

UT Houston has been saying they won't be sending out letters until April 15th. I've read past UTHSC pages and figured out that people start to get notified about 2 weeks before whatever date they say, but 2 weeks before April 15th won't be in time for the March 22nd deadline. Also, since the honors program is a whole separate application process, I'm sure its going to be a while before I know about that too.

    UTMB Fall 2013

@clementine17 I emailed when I got the letter and got a reply that I would "hear something in about a week." But hopefully the info will have some sort of timeline and how many people in general I would be up against for those few spots. @uhamanduh I meet the requirements for the honors program

    UTMB Fall 2013

I just got an acceptance letter too! It was just a one letter though, nothing attached. Also, my My Star status has not changed either.. However, I just realized I have a major dilemma! In the letter it says you must accept by March 22, but I won't have heard by UT-Houston by then. I live in Houston and would rather not move to Galveston, but if I got into the honors program, I would be able to because I would have a scholarship. UT-Houston is my number one choice but UTMB's honors program could change my mind.

    UTMB Fall 2013

Thanks for the congrats, that makes me feel a lot better about it! I know there are other scholarships, and I have something written down in my information session notes that you can apply for scholarships before you know if you've been accepted, so maybe that's something to look into?? I'm sure you'll be able to find something that will work for you!

    UTMB Fall 2013

I have a 3.75 overall and about a 3.9 on my prereqs. I got right at a 90 overall on my TEAS.. I'm not sure about whether or not it means I'm accepted because this is just another applications process it seems and they only pick 5 people (or so it say in the letter--online it says 8). I asked if anyone else got it because i wasn't sure if everyone got the letter or I got it because I had a certain gpa or teas score requirement. Online its says you'r eligible for the program if you have over a 3.75, over a 90 on the TEAS, and no B's in your sciences, so I guess that means I got the letter because I met these requirements??

    UTHSC Houston - Fall 2013

From what I understand, the registrar's office only makes the transcript evaluations, but admissions is who is in charge of sending it to you. I would keep trying to speak with an admissions counselor about it. Most of the time I try to call around 10 am or 2 pm, because those are the most likely times they are in their offices working (or at least I would guess with lunch breaks etc), and I've had luck actually reaching someone for the most part. Personally, I've emailed them several times and never got a reply back, but I've seen on here that some people have gotten responses via email. Also, I never actually requested a transcript evaluation, they just sent me one.. not sure what that means haha. The evaluation I received had a mistake on it, and I called the registrar's office and they were happy to fix it. They told me that they would send it back to the nursing school's admissions office, and that I may or may not receive the updated copy as admissions is in charge of sending them out.

    UTHSC Houston - Fall 2013

Hey everyone! I just got my transcript evaluation today and I have a question. One of the classes they say that I do not have credit for I do. Has this happened to anyone else?

For those of you who have everything but a transcript with incomplete grades (i.e. from this spring) gone off of your to-do list, what does it say when you look under application status? Mine says "incomplete" and I know they've received everything except my final transcript which won't be ready until this spring. I'm assuming its because of that one transcript, but I just want to make sure since the deadline is coming up.

    UTHSC Houston - Fall 2013

From the applicant checklist on the website: "A minimum score of 75% is recommended on each section (math, reading comprehension, vocabulary/general knowledge, grammar, anatomy and physiology, critical thinking)" So, I would assume you're fine since it doesn't state that they look into those more specific categories! Those are really good scores!!

    UTHSC Houston - Fall 2013

I kinda had the same problem but it won't take your transcripts off the to-do list unless you have completed grades on them.. i.e. if you had some fall 2012 grades that weren't posted yet, it won't disappear until you resend them a transcript with the complete grades on it and it doesn't matter if the class was a pre-req or not. Also important, they are not returning to their offices until Jan. 2, so there's no point in checking until then. The HESI scores get sent out on the last day of every month (or also every 2 weeks-I can't quite remember from the information session). What I specifically remember them saying is that if you took the test in December, they would get send the scores on the 31st from Evolve/Elsiver, but they wouldn't be removed from a to-do list until AT LEAST the 2nd because of winter break. If that didn't answer your question, call the registrar's office when they come back in, and they should be able to answer your questions. @frankcinq, you definitely need to retake (and quick) if you want a chance of getting in. They want a minimum of 75% in each section.

Yeah I believe that if your to do is is complete then your application is complete. I think you should be able to see on the "Admissions Status" in your UTH that it says the application is complete as well. @Joey2015, I sure hope you're not applying for Fall 2013, because you're HESI scores would be late for the application date of January 15... And you're on the right tract with the Fundamentals Success book. And thanks PH23, I just registered successfully for Jan. 31st so no problems there, I just had to wait a while to get the confirmation email that evolve sends. And now I'm sort of remembering hearing a question at the information session about how long you had to wait between retakes, and I'm pretty sure the admissions counselor said there was no waiting period... which I guess is true!

    UTHSC Houston - Fall 2013

I heard from the info session that about 100 out of 800 get in---but they said only about 400 of those 800 actually had turned in everything they needed to for a complete application.
