Greetings!

I am applying to UTHSC Houston - Fall 2013. Anybody else?

J1 at Ut-Houston? What has she said about the program?? (:

Yes, at UT-Health Houston. She loves it! She said the work-load is fierce, but that's to be expected, and all the professors are awesome and willing to help! She also got accepted to UTMB but her and I both took Patho together at TWU-Denton but both got denied to TWU-Dallas. Unfortunately for me, I put all my eggs in one basket, so I had to sit out this semester. TWU-Dallas is much more competitive than Houston and if I would have selected Houston then I would have probably got accepted since some of the people on the thread who picked the Houston campus had much lower GPAs than mine. But, I was not discouraged...UT-Houston was my first choice from the beginning of my journey back to school and I feel like I'm in a good position this time around. All that is meant to be, will be!

I took my gov class at HCC and I haven't had any problem transferring it over. Hope that helps!!

The counselor is telling me that GOVT 2302 Amer Gov/Sta/Local II will not transfer as Texas Government because it is lacking the Texas Constitution portion, he is saying that GOVT 2302 is considered as American Government. I feel like I am going crazy because the UH and TWU transferred that as Texas Government. Ehhh...I hope I can get this clarified because I would not want to take it again when I do not have to.

That is super frustrating! I took both 2301 and 2302. :-( I got waitlisted for spring so I went through getting all this clarified last semester. They are very sweet and understanding up there. I hope you can sort this out because we are all already full of stress, we don't need anything else topping it off. Just remember worse comes to worse tell them that if you have to take it, you can take it in the summer! Good luck. Keep us updated. I hope it works out and you don't have to take anything else!

Did her patho transfer to UT Houston from TWU? I can't decide if I want to take it during the summer depending on where I end up going lol.

Yes, our Patho (hers already did) will transfer as long as it gets approved after accepted. I've already talked to them and they told me to send a copy of the class syllabus once I get accepted (being optimistic :)). I heard that it and Pharm had to be an upper level class from a four year university. I took Patho at TWU so that's no problem but I took Pharm at Lone Star College. When I talked to the lady I will have to send my syllabus to, she told me to send both of them including my one from Pharm and she will look at it! I'm crossing my fingers because that will make the first semester of nursing school SO SO much easier! My friend is taking Pharm now as a J1 and she says it is tough but she's doing well. So, I CAN NOT stress enough...if you have the opportunity to take Patho before the school, even if you have to spend your summer doing it, DO IT! I can not imagine having to take it with Pharm AND clinicals! I made an A in Patho but it was the only class I had left to take and I spent everyday studying!

Wow, that's awesome! That would make your first semester a piece of cake! I wish they offered it at their campus instead of having to go through somewhere else...

Did anybody who hasn't received the transcript evaluation get a hold of someone from SON? I've tried emailing and calling them, but I haven't had any luck so far. It seems many people are getting theirs, and I'm really really worried that I've received none!
