Hello everyone! This thread is for everyone applying to the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. I believe they will be accepting applications from January 15-April 1, so the sooner the better! Their admission requirements are pretty standard:
Minimum Pre-Req Gpa: 2.75
Minimum Science Gpa: 3.0
Minimum HESI A2 score: 75% or higher on all required sections - math, reading comprehension, vocabulary/general knowledge, grammar, anatomy and physiology, critical thinking.
My info is really not that competitive, but I'm going to give it a shot anyways -
Pre-Req Gpa: 3.30
Science Gpa: 3.0 (Barely cutting it! )
Overall Gpa: 3.28
Hesi score: 93.3% overall, with my lowest score being a 90.
My gpa is not the best, but I still have 3 more classes to finish this semester, and I'm aiming for all A's! I think the best thing I have going for me is my HESI scores.

All those accepted for the Fall of 2012 just recieved an e-mail that the date of May 16th is incorrect and that orientation is on August 15th. I would assume that 8/15 is our actual to-do list deadline. So, anyone waitlisted who has not already heard a response due to the openings from those passing on their spot at UTHSC may have to wait until the end of August to see if anyone failed to fulfill their to-do list and are dropped from the program.
If anyone is still reading this, got my acceptance letter after being waitlisted today. Yay! Hopefully that means more waitlisters will be getting theirs soon as well!
Update: Ok, so I went up there just an hour ago to turn in my acceptance letter. I asked why no one was answering their phone calls and the lady at the front desk said they just had an orientation, so they're a bit busy right now. I'm guessing it should die down at the end of this week.
Yay!! Congrats!! I just got an email a while ago saying that I was able to accept or decline on myUTH. I accepted! It's official!! Is there anywhere to go to talk to our future classmates?
Yes, there is a Facebook page. I believe it is called: UTHSC SON class of December 2013. I haven't sent a friend request yet or looked for it on Facebook. I remember someone posting it on here awhile back. I think we can do a Facebook search. If I find it, I'll post the information.
