UTHSC Fall 2015 Applications

Published

Hi everyone! I did not find a thread for fall 2015 UTHSC applicants so I decided to create one, sorry if there is already one. I am going to be applying to Prairie View A&M, UTHSC, and Lone Star College (with UTHSC being my first choice). My current stats are:

Science GPA: 4.0

Overall GPA: 3.9

I am taking my Hesi test this Saturday. I'm fairly nervous about it so I'm studying non-stop until it's time to take the test. :nailbiting:

I'm looking forward to talking to everyone else that is applying! :)

That's awesome!! Did you get an email?

Yes I got it at 5pm

@jbau89 - congrats!

Not to be a total hypocrite or waffler - but my previous post on spending time with my son was based on my job in corporate America that requires travel and deadlines and a lot of time away from home - not a nursing job or nursing school. You know that school will take a lot of time - but you are working towards a great goal and have an opportunity that you have worked hard for. School is only 16 months and if you have a support system - you can do it! Best of luck in your decision process.

After talking with my parents, fiancé, and his mother, they are all urging me to go to UTHSC. His mother is a retired nurse and my mom was a nurse for 20 years. I just need to set a strict schedule and stick to it and I'll be fine. I have been wanting this, so I can't pass up the opportunity.

I really hope that you get in this fall. If not, you should definitely be able to get in for spring semester. Thanks for being open about your experience as a working mother- it means more than you know. Good luck :)

Do any of you guys know generally how many people are waitlisted/how many are chosen from the waitlist each semester? I know it differs every semester due to vacant spots but I was just seeing if anyone knew roughly how many!

I wish I knew!

125-150ish :)

On the waitlist?

That seems like a very large amount of people to waitlist...

Has anyone spoken to the Office of Student Affairs? Decisions for waitlisting, when I spoke to them, will be finished by June 1. I'm hoping to hear before that, but I'm wondering if they'll give out what number on the waitlist we are? If I speak with them tomorrow I'll post on here.

For those who have been accepted, the offer still stands on the roommate thing. We can split rent in half and I have all the furniture for the living room, dining room, and the kitchen. Add me on facebook and message me!

Sorry! I thought you said how many are accepted. Not sure about wait list

They told me they couldn't disclose the ranking. :( I've also seen people get accepted from the waitlist two weeks prior to school. I'm hoping it will be by June 1st!
