Hi everyone! I did not find a thread for fall 2015 UTHSC applicants so I decided to create one, sorry if there is already one. I am going to be applying to Prairie View A&M, UTHSC, and Lone Star College (with UTHSC being my first choice). My current stats are:
Science GPA: 4.0
Overall GPA: 3.9
I am taking my Hesi test this Saturday. I'm fairly nervous about it so I'm studying non-stop until it's time to take the test.
I'm looking forward to talking to everyone else that is applying! :)
Jbau89, Ventura12 and acourts, are you guys going to update your immunizations and all that good stuff just in case we are admitted? I heard it is best to get everything done because it could be as late as July that we find out and that gives us zero time to get anything done before the semester starts!
Yeah I am waiting on acceptance from LSCS NH, should be any day now. I applied with a 7.7/8; the advisor didn't say I would be auto admitted, but she did say that my score was "very high". I might re-apply for spring at UTHSC, but it would mean forfeiting a spot at NH in the fall. I am going to plan on attending A nursing school this fall, so I'm going to get my titers and finish Hep B, etc.
I think UTHealth used to basically auto-admit wait-listers for the next semester, but they don't anymore. Does anyone know for certain?
Daniela_baez don't feel bad! There were other people in your shoes from summer applications as well and they ended up getting into UTHSC the following semester (some without even reapplying). You obviously deserve to get into a nursing school, it's just a matter of where and when.
LindseyFaith, I was wait listed for Fall 2015. And yes, I already have all my titers done. I just have to go back and get my immunizations done. (I had to get them done for San Jac's RN application).
@ihueng: yes it just sucks not knowing if I'm accepted or waitlisted or denied.. But I also applied to UTMB so hopefully I hear back from them soon .. Thank you for your encouraging words!!
lindsayFaith, yes I am going to get everything done just incase. I was accepted into LSC Montgomery's ADN program for the fall so I will need it regardless. I am still hoping that a spot opens here though!
Does anyone plan to apply again? I know wait listed individuals have a good shot of getting into the next semester if they reapply, but what about individuals that get denied. Im a bit confused on what to do next.
The lady said there was some issues with their system and couldn't get everything out today. She also said most letters were mailed today and the rest go out tomorrow. Im not sure if that means they're more acceptances or not, she didn't say. I hope so!

I will be applying again. I would if I were you! I had a friend tell me a lottttt of people get accepted on their second try!
